Each day take a different part of the mirror of conscience and pray; "Search me O God, and know my heart!" (Psalm 139; 23). Pray for the Spirit of truth, repentance and Godly sorrow to show you where you have greived the Lord and have walked unworthy of His redemption. Treat the things that the Lord reveals to you according to the words of scriputre; "Confess your sins to one another" (James 5; 16), and then you will experience that "the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1; 7). Cling to this in your struggles with sin, and you will experience what you believe. The purpose for which Jesus has redeemed you is nothing less than this wonderful vocation; "You are a chosen race, a royal preisthood, a holy nation, God's own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkeness into his marvelous light" (1 Peter 2; 9). Have I lived worthy of this vocation? Have I shown the excellencies of Jesus in my whole being? Or have I dis-credited the image of Jesus in me, and therefor greived the Lord who has chosen me and redeemed me through His precious blood, so I can be conformed to His image (Romans 8; 29)
