The Milton Hershey School

Hey, I live in Hershey, PA and there is a school in town called the Milton Hershey School. It is a boarding school launched by the founding father Milton S Hershey for orphans where the students live on-campus in group homes with house parents. I just found some videos about the school on YouTube and it almost made me cry! These people that work there as houseparents for the students are HEROES! One man at my church did this for awhile! The school educates the students from elementary school through high school and then when they graduate they give each student $70,000 to get launched in the world! That sounds wonderful! We could use more such homes and schools everywhere. As a Christian home and school, the students learn of our Savior: the Lord Jesus, which public schools don't allow. Public schools meet a general need for the public, but also allow bad influences to circulate, and some teachings are contray to our Bible.

When possible, real Christians ought to utilize private Christian schools for their children, I think, not just for orphans. They need to have influence by other Christian friends too.
