The Memory Tree.
From the moment you are born,
until you take your last gasp of breath.
You cannot avoid going through,
the road of memory lane.
The First sounds heard, the first things seen,
like a hidden mystery revealed to you.
The first experiences of touch, smell and taste,
the need and feeling of being loved.
Every new sounds uttered,
whether it be sounds of crying, laughing,
or low and loud sounds of babbling,
every experience is unique.
From your first given words,
until you learn to crawl and walk.
In the beginning it is all like a long journey,
everything is new and unexplored by you.
Every new day becomes like an adventure,
playfulness going hand in hand with curiousity.
A mind with a willingness for learning,
life feels free from worries and grief.
The first signs of development,
from being a child to becoming a grown up.
First signs of maturity in one's body and mind,
though still not fully grown.
From your first discovery of body changes,
until you experience the art of falling in love.
A very exciting but also very painful way to go,
a time when your emotions are very intense.
Then you will gradually enter full adulthood,
more responsibilities and work is expected from you.
The time has come to choose what you want to do,
what will your destination of work be?
Many will choose to marry and have families,
whilst some others will remain single or childfree.
Once fully established they will go on living life,
as long as they can remain alive on this earth.
Those who do enter the old age,
will look back at their long gone past.
Like reading the pages of a book,
they bring back again every memory alive.
Every experience is a different chapter lived,
of all good and bad experiences combined.
Your mind is like a film-roll,
where you can watch everything as you remember it.
Every memory whether hidden or found,
is a part of your most inner depths heart.
It is what builds up your character,
and also what helps strenghtening your personality.
All memories are collected and grown out as leaves,
which springs forth out from the memory tree.
Every action and word is written down,
all kept as a part of testimony.
