The mark of the beast

The mark of the beast and the seal of God relates to our characters. Those who receive the mark of the beast become beast like. Those who receive the seal of God are like the Lamb.

The Sabbath is a sign or pledge that those who keep it will become holy (Ex. 31:13). So those who keep the Sabbath are made holy by God's Spirit.

Those who break the Sabbath cannot be made holy because they have broken the covenant and the sign given by God.

The Sabbath is also the seal of God.
(I've just finished a new book entitled, "the mark of the beast and the seal of God" which is on Amazon, I can't post the link yet as I have only 45 posts, need 50 to post the link)

To keep the Sabbath means more than just attending church on Sabbath, it means becoming holy and living a holy life.

Those who receive the mark of the beast will persecute those who keep God's commandments and will blaspheme God like the beast.

Those who receive the seal of God are patient, keep the commandments and are without guile, they are like the Lamb.

did sunday keepers who died lets say in the last century also receive the mark of the beast (technically they did, didnt they?)

No, since the mark of the beast has not been yet established. It's been told that God knows His own and those among every denomination who are faithful to Him in the light they have, will be saved.

The mark is established when religious and civil powers unite to institute the Sunday law.

I think Stryder06 answered the question well, that the mark is a future event.

In the past many were unware that Sunday was not the Sabbath, before I became an SDA I thought Sunday was the 7th day of the week.

When I became aware of the truth, I decided to keep the Sabbath (Saturday).

However, there is more to keeping the Sabbath than observing a day, as even the Pharisees did that, it means seeking to be holy by receiving God's righteousness, living a holy life during the week. Because those who have the seal of God have the Lamb's name in their foreheads - they have the character of the Lamb.

The Sabbath is a pledge that if we keep it properly, God will make us holy (Ex. 31:13).

If someone attends church on the 7th day, but is not reborn, it will not avail that person. Therefore the message about the seal of God calls for reform even for those already observing the 7th day.

Stop stop stop your improper application of the words of Sr White. She speaks more on the mark of the beast, and you opt to use that as your final statement? Please.

I always wondered about the sunday/mark of the beast thing...

I mean if the offense was so great, why then will it be important only during the last days... no matter how long that will be (I personally doubt more than a handful of years)...

sunday has been kept for millenia, and now we are gonna make such a big deal out of it?

In a time of ignorance, God winks at the transgressions of men. For millenia, people could only go off of what their priests told them. There have always been sabbath keepers. Just because God doesn't thunder down punishment and wrath doesn't mean that He is happy with the way things are going. It could be that He is trying to use people to reach other people with the truth, but since this truth is being ignored, God, at His timing, will set things straight, leaving now shadow of a doubt in regards to His day.

Really ..Is Sunday worship the mark of the beast or not?...When? At some unknown time when the Sunday law kicks in? Well what wrong with Sunday worship now? Why are Sundayworshippers being condemn by SDA?

What's with the use of the word condemn? Geez

Sunday worship is wrong now because it's usurped the place of the sabbath. It's like someone saying "what's wrong with polygamy".

Just because it's accepted by society, and God isn't raining down judgement currently, doesn't mean He accepts, or is ok with what is going on.

Most SDA have Wednesday service, and that's OK?

Yep, our Jewish friends have always kept the Sabbath.

If worshipping on Sunday is the mark of the beast, how does that fit in with the Bible saying the mark is on their foreheads or hands? Not only the curious placement of the mark relative to a Sunday law, but the indication there are two places, or ways, to have this mark. I really don't remember the answer from my past indoctrination.

Revelation 14:9 is an allusion to Deuteronomy:

"And these words, which I command the this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
And thou shalt write then upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates."
Deuteronomy 6:6-9

"Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes."
Deuteronomy 11:18

"And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt."
Exodus 13:9

So the Bible gives us a hint: whatever the mark of the beast is, it will involve the beast attempting to replace God's commandments with his own. God's people will know when the time comes.

Even though its possible I doubt there have always been sabbath keepers, contrary to what egw claimed the vadensians for example didnt keep the sabbbath

jews dont count in this regard, only christians... IMHO
