Theirs. Is that your opion or theirs (or both)?
That's so cute I want to hug a teddy bear.
What's yours?Theirs.
I don't know your view in this case.Belk said:You seem to place some strange importance on our views of the bible so I thought you should know you were wrong.
What's yours?I don't know your view in this case.
Perhaps you would like to tell me.
The Crusaders' view: With respect to the Bible.
AV1611VET's view: In spite of the Bible.
Belks view? : crickets chirping
Bungle's view? : crickets chirping
As I said: crickets chirping. My view is that you could easily argue either side using the bible. I have certainly heard that the bible preaches peace but if that is the case few of its adherents seem convinced it is a requirement. I do know that many have used the bible to excuse atrocity.
Perhaps you should spend a little time learning about the Reformation and its consequences. Then look at how the Orthodox Church treated Catholics as it expanded. Then turn closer to home and learn about early US history (have you any idea of the beliefs of the Pilgrim fathers and the puritan colonists?). If you want something more recent bring things forward to the Ku Klux Klan from 1915 to 1940s.
Your view of interdenominational violence is either extremely simplistic or ill-informed.
Anyone who was paying attention?
I fail to see how that is relevant to the fact that they are a Christian religious group? So mainstream Protestantism has embraced the KKK as one of their own? Here I thought they have roundly denounced the KKK.
Ya, WiseGuy.I fail to see how that is relevant to the fact that they are a Christian religious group?

No True Scotsman fallacy, anyone? They are a group that claims to be Christian. No one believes that, except them of course.
Anyway the real test is the 'body count'.
I believe I have made my view clear at least twice in this thread. It should worry you that you don't understand plain English. What's yours?I don't know your view in this case.

1915 to 1940s it was very much a Protestant institution. You didn't do your research, did you? Typical YEC - tell them where to look and they don't but continue complaining the information is wrong. The Ku Klux Klan is a Christian denomination? Who knew?
Right -- and I'm Genghis Khan.I believe I have made my view clear at least twice in this thread.
Please explain how it is possible to suddenly develop a congenital abnormalityHow's come, all of a sudden, people get ankyloglossia?
No, but it appears it is to you. If you were respectful, you'd read my posts. Then you'd see that I have actually answered your question three times now.Is the word "respect" confusing you guys?

Correct. Just as Puritan colonists were not a denomination. But the KKK at that time embraced anti-catholic protestantism.Sorry, the KKK was never a Christian denomination any more than the Third Reich was.

You changed the subject in post 151, not me.The subject is persecution between legitimate denominations of the nominal Christian church, not persecution by outside forces.
