The Lord's Supper

Some of you may know me, it's a while since I've been here the last time.

I'm not even sure if this is the right sub-forum.

So here's my question: In which churches the lord's supper is celebrated at least weekly like the Eucharist in the Roman Catholic Church is?

I'll start with what I know:
Orthodox churches, Anglican churches, old catholic churches, lcma and wels.

That's all I know about.

Which church of Christ? As far as I know there's more than one denomination with that name.

Hi again, Esdra. We should probably begin by noting that not all the churches that you mentioned DO observe the Lord's Supper each week. It's true of the Eastern churches, of course, but it varies, congregation to congregation, in the Anglican and Lutheran churches. Some of them DO, however, celebrate it weekly.

The Churches of Christ and The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) plus some other branches of this same American movement dating from the early 19th century do, as stated, make it a point to observe the Supper each week. They're casually called "Campbellites" sometimes. You'll have to look up these churches in a directory for a fuller account of their history, but it was basically a non-denominational movement that sought to require of members only what the New Testament clearly laid out as the practice and belief of the first Christians.

Some PCA congregations (Presbyterian Church in America) do. I wish that they all did.
