do you guys ever realize how much they use the Lord's name in vain in the Movies ??? What can we do about this as a God fearing people?? please let me know what you people think

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

in fact, it has transcended into schools. like mine. where it used all the time. sometimes by teachers.
no one cares anymore it seems. people have been desensitized to GOd's name and swearing that no one even notices it anymore. no one is shocked when rap music as background music while students are working, is talking of all these obscene things and swearing like there is no tomorrow. in fact, it is terrible.
what can we do? nothing. they won't listen. they don't care. they don't understand.
perhaps we can educate them that it offends people.

It's actually really bad on TV in general. Real sad in my opinion. I'd actually rather that they cuss instead of taking the Lords name in vain.
The only thing we can do about it is to let them know that we dissaprove of it and, of course, not talk in the same manner.

You know what to do?
Honour the lord and just off the tv or get out of the cinema.
You're prolly not gonna get your money's worth but just do it.
You wont just sit there and continue watching them use the Lord's name in vain and enjoy them doing so. Because if you enjoy the movie then it means you enjoyed being with the same thing that insulted our Lord Jesus.
Thats what my pastor more or less said. I've been trying to do it. So let us pray in this matter that we may not dishonour God.
If someone uses the name of the Lord in vain. Warn them of the conseqences. DONT be speaker Friendly. Just be blatant with the truth. They'll get offended but trust me its not wrong.
After all if you read the bible we see Jesus telling people how they'll go to hell and perish if they do not repent.
Or Him calling them Son of the devil.
I tell you when you speak the truth the world is bound to get offended. So fight your fight well.
Be careful not to get arrogant etc when speaking the truth. Do it in the correct spirit and not the wrong spirit or its not gonna turn out the right way.
Be Firm, stern but dont start taking offense at their words or accumulate bitterness.
Ask the Lord to help you in these matters
