Well, for one they are covers. BAD COVERS. To me they just reek of insincerity, the sincerity which drew me to Oldham's music in the first place.theFijian said:Butchered??!! Say it aint so! In what way butchered?

Make-out music?? oo errr...missus.....Anyway I think Mogwai's best albums as a single entity are probably the last two, Rock Action and Happy Songs. Their sound has developed though from the Slint-esque Young Team and Come On Die Young (of which Young Team is superior IMO) to mellow lush soundscapes on Happy Songs. If you can get EP+6 it has two of their finest moments on it, Superheroes of BMX and Burn Girl-Prom Queen although I think you can only get EP+2 Stateside which doesn't have Superheroes. Other stand out tracks for me are: Young Team - Like Herod, Tracey, Mogwai Fear Satan; CODY - Punk Rock, Christmas Steps; Rock Action - Sine Wave, 2 Rights make 1 Wrong; Happy Songs - Hunted by a Freak, Moses? I Amn't, Killing All the Flies, Ratts of the Capital, I Know You Are But What Am I?Nico said:fijian--i have the papa m hole of burning alms. someone told me they thought it was good make out music. mostly acoustic stuff....definitely worth buying. do you recommend any mogwai albums? i have the one with "ten" in the title, which i rather like, looking to buy some more....
fortyfourbreaks said:m83 is nice, i have indeed heard their music, and I would want to buy this cd but the fact is, its an import and it will cost about 25 dollars for this cd. They definitely have a 'unique' style, so thats what draws me in.
Nico said:BTW, you should definitely get the OTC-Dusk @ the Cubist Castle. I'm a big fan of it. I want their Black Foliage album, so that would be on my list.

radiohead - ok computer
Hmm, I've wanted OK Computer for a while now...I have heard from too many people how good it is. The only bad thing is that it is hard to find cheap. Upon your insistance, Nadro, I will purchase it. I'll let ya know what I think.nadroj1985 said:Put everything off and get this one. Perhaps my favorite album of all time. Pure brilliance
