The Light Bulb has gone on!

Hello all -

I just wanted to share with you all something truly amazing - though I'm sure its not new to most here. In the last couple of days - during my studies of the reformed theology - a light bulb has gone on in my head (and heart too I suppose) that has caused all of scripture to suddenly make sense to me in light of this revelation.

Simply put - in a nutshell - We exist for God's pleasure - not vice versa! My entire Christian walk and faith has completely centered around - what God has done and can do for me (or man)! I am just realizing that my life should be just the opposite - it should be how can I bring glory to God's name. I truly believe that is what our purpose is here on earth - and working to fullfill that purpose will bring no greater joy!

It is truly a wonderful gift from the Lord - this revelation! Even Christ's Death and Ressurection was to bring glory to God - and now allows us to do it as well.

It was like that for me as well. I was introduced to reformed theology a little over a year ago and rejected it as contrary to all I was taught growing up. I spent time looking up passages that supported it and tried to object to it scripturally, but couldn't do it. Gradually, I accepted it and now absolutely love it! You're right, the light bulb does go on and suddenly it seems as if it all makes perfect sense.

The Lord has blessed us in many ways. The more thoroughly we understand these things the you mention the more we see His greatness and how awesomely blessed we truly are.
