I know it seems that ive been posting about angels alot but im not obsessed with them, actually ive never really gave them much thought before.....Just Jesus and God.

But the question. I was reading some story where this little boy was tormented by somthing he could only see and it scared him to death till a man named "echo" ran the bad thing off.

Wel im 99.9999% sure the story is BULL becaue she says her son can read minds now or some poo.

BUT ANYWHO , i also heard someone say that [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Echologian is the tounge of angels.
Where did this idea come from? Paganism?

thanks

If your interested in angels, I suggest you read "Angels" - by Billy Graham. It is an excellent biblical and secular coverage of angels, and how they fit into our faith in Christ.

As for the language of angels? There is only one place in the bible that talks about angels having their own language, and that is 1 Cor. 13. Here it is being used as a hyperbole. In other words, Paul was using this term as an exaggeration to make his point.

Angels speak in whatever language they have to. If they need to give their message to someone french they speak in french, if indian they speak in idniain ...etc.

Remember, Angels have the Holy Spirit too. And they are able to speak in tounges, so they can speak in any language.

But also remember that Satan was also an Angel and so he looks like an angel and can appear as though he is an Angel (by deceiving the person into thinking he is good when his intentions aren't).

Greetings DemunHunter,

In the Garden of Eden, there was only one language and that was God's language, I call it God-Speak here for brevity. This language is pure, undefiled by man or by demons. When God speaks it performs what it is set out to do and that is to inform, to enlighten, to curse and to judge. When God spoke to Adam, there was "clarity" and "understanding", and this is of course the manner of language up until the time of the Tower of Babel. It was God-Speak that was spoken up until this time, then came the "confusion of the languages" or "men's languages. Even within one particular language there remains "confusion", rarely is their such "clarity" that it provokes genuine understanding. So I want you first to consider this Word:

Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: ...

Now, "what", not "who", but HOW. This is very important for the Christian, because we are not only to engage our physical ears, but we are to LISTEN WITH OUR SPIRITUAL EARS as well, and I'll show why this is so important.

At Pentecost in the book of Acts, we see a very interesting phenomena. The disciples of Christ are "speaking with other tongues" (read Acts 2). The people that were listening were many and from various countries and languages. Count them up and figure out how many languages (of men) were being spoken. There were some who thought the disciples were just drunk, others thought they were just babbling as if they were nuts, yet a FEW "heard them speak in their own native language". These were they who were listening with their "spiritual ears". What they were hearing was GOD-SPEAK, or "the tongues of angels". It actually makes no difference what is being said by the speakers, it COULD all be jibberish to the NATURAL ear, but to those who have a SPIRITUAL ear attuned, what they hear are the very words which God also speaks. So the "curse of the confusion of the languages" has met its death by the ability the Lord gives through His Holy Spirit to "speak" in the ORIGINAL language of this world when there was NO confusion.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

I don't know about this but I pretty much agree with the rest of what you said. I don't think 1 Corinthians 13:1 is necessarily a hyperbole(?) I think it could mean that there are tongues of men and angels. I've never spoken in tongues or heard it done, but from all of the Bible studying that I've done on the subject I don't think you can say that it never happens anymore. Now this kid is a whole new subject and seems to have some serious problems.
