Before any sci-fi fans start yelling, let me explain.
I read a vage review of this movie. It said there was occult stuff but was not clear for me.
So, I went to see it. After all it was a PG children's movie, right?
Not so right. This is not a good children's movie!!!!!
Parents should be forwarned about Palm Reading, the chanting before an idol with incense and the living together status of the science teacher with his Palm Reading fiance.
Yes, the mimzy thing and the powers the children discovered and used were amazing. The movie had plenty to go on without Palm Reading! But the time travel concept and the children's powers had to be linked into Hindu-Tibeten folklore, or whatever.
So, I enjoyed some of the movie, and was shocked by the rest of it.
At least the children's mother was pretty uneasy about letting her children's palms be read.
