  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

During worship at my church last Easter, the song "Forever" was used. A short time after that Kari Jobe created her own version of the same song:

The song describes the Resurrection:
"The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated"

However my favorite line in the song declares, "We sing hallelujah, the Lamb has overcome", which refers to the victory of the Resurrection. However this line reminds me of a verse in the Bible that tells about a future time when "the Lamb will overcome":

"They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings--and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers." Revelation 17:14
I was thinking recently about how Kari Jobe's song reminds me of this victory yet to come in the future. After I thought about this I noticed something on a poster on my wall in my room. I have a poster that displays Jesus on it with a crown of thorns on His head that says, "Won by One". There are verse references hidden within the picture at the bottom of the poster, and recently as I was looking at this poster I noticed the verse reference of this very same verse that I had been thinking about standing out to me -- Revelation 17:14
I couldn't find a picture and I have not taken a picture myself yet, but I found a picture on ebay of the same image on a coffee mug:
