I never really understood why the gospel was called the 'good news' until now.
It truly is the Good News, praise God!
Whenever I read verses like, "The time is now...," or "I'll be back soon," I always sort of panicked inside. I was always thinking, "What do you mean, Jesus? The time is now? What am I supposed to do to not BURN IN HELL? HOW CAN I MAKE YOU HAPPY?!!! I DON'T GET IT!!! *sob*"
Ah, but you see, I was wrong. So very wrong. I was thinking of this all in very religious terms, and not to what our Lord had in mind. Our Lord actually has better plans for us, and they are glorious plans.
Praise God for making me understand His ways little by little! I am and always will be His little child, but He will always nourish me with His love and wisdom.
It's not about trying to not burn in Hell or pleasing God in my terms. It wasn't about worrying or fearing death.
It was about facing courage when I had none. It was about surrendering all of my life to God first. The rest will be taken care of when we leave it up to Him.
The good news is that Jesus came here to save us from our selfish, destructive ways for something eternally and wonderfully better. The most joyous, the most beautiful news is that Jesus wants us to have a purpose in life, and that is to hope in Him always. When we do, and when we are always thankful about what we have each and everyday because of Him, He uses us in ways we could never have imagined in our lives.
He made me surrender my fake pearls for something real and better in life. He gave me a place in the Kingdom and an eternal life with Him. For the King and His Kingdom, I am here to glorify Him alone.
I will always have a purpose and use in the Kingdom. What more could a human being want in life? Everyone is born to be useful in one way or another. But if we are slaves to the world, then we are nothing, because that road leads to nowhere. There's no light in that road. But God is the eternal light, the good...
My Father.
I believe that we were not born out of coincidence and no purpose. Everything has its purpose, because God created it to have a purpose. Just as every clothes, cars, and objects were made with careful consideration and thought for its function and purpose, we are also made for His purpose.
Live on for Him. Live in Him alone and be happy, because we are made for the most magnificent and glorious reason of all. Whatever you do, do it for God who has pure good, loving purposes for us. All of us have our place in the Kingdom and we are not of the world, and the world cannot label us with its markers to put us down.
We are all God's glorious treasures because He saved us and called us His children. Jesus Christ put His life down for us to serve Him with all our talents He gave us. And to serve Him is the most beautiful thing that one could do. He is the true King.
That, my friends, is the Joyful Message
