The only way to fully combat racism is individualism. Collectivism maintains racism.
Humans are social creatures, they will never work as fully individual. The fact that people follow a government organized as a country/nation demonstrates that individualism is not possible, unless of course you subscribe to some form of anarchism. Nonetheless, the social aspect of our species would mean groups would still form. I don't think that has anything to do with combating racism as it is only a fairly recent social construct in human history (i.e., there is nothing inherent about it).
Individualism is threatening to codependent persons - of which racist most certainly are. Racists are culturally and socially codependent. But, racism isn't going anywhere because it is too profitable.

As a person who was raised in a codependent home, and lived as such until my early 20s, I completely agree. Codependency can be cured though.
Some don't want to assimilate at all.

Yes, but one usually sees the damaging affects of codependency and wants to change it. People don't want to "cure" racism; they embrace it, and society coddles it by staying mute, or ignoring what it does to people not so high on the meter of human importance. The ones who are affected by racism are usually labelled some term of derision to distract from damage of racism, and those same people are dehumanized (in society) just in case someone decides to be human and takes notice of the affects of said racism. This way, what happens to certain people doesn't trigger as deep as a response as someone who, in society, we are demanded to treat as a human.
When it begins to disturb groups that "matter", that is when there are problems and real change. Everything else is a transition into a different form of the former.
When we tried to, you wouldn't let us.
Wouldn't even let us march in your parades.
Eh now that the DCCC just forced Allison to step down due to her skin color, we're about to see this finally come to a head in the next year or so. 2020 is going to be quite amazing, but I'm not sure if it's going to be in a good way.
Codependency (the unhealthy need to please or repair others) is not to be confused with mutual interdependence, compassion and empathy. As a person who was raised in a codependent home, and lived as such until my early 20s, I completely agree. Codependency can be cured though.
So you gave up?
Other than stating the obvious, what did you hope to accomplish with this thread? BTW... the internet is also a cesspool of debauchery and sexual immorality too. It is the internet after all.The Internet Is a Cesspool of Racist Pseudoscience
No surprise, there is always someone trying to use statistics to make some qualification of a particular group of people to make a racist argument or justify racist treatment of a group. They really are like flat-earthers and anti-vaxxers; social media has given them a place to find like-minded ignorance that is only amplified. At the heart of this group is the grand scheme of some unseen group suppressing these debunked ideas.
Are you saying that racism didn't exist prior to the 15th century?Racism is a concept that only began in the 15th century, so it hasn't been thousands of years; the flat earth concept is literally thousands of years old, we're talking Bronze Age. Anti-vaxxers are probably the most recent because vaccines arose in the 20th century. Nonetheless, the comparison was about their use of online sources to find a home for their pseudoscientific thought, they are very much alike.
Are you saying that racism didn't exist prior to the 15th century?
This is the smartest thing you said. Does "racism" even mean anything anymore?Anything and everything gets called "racism" these days.
Pretty sure you're being patronized.
If you said this in my physical presence (or even over the phone) it would be nearly impossible for me to resist saying: "Dude, you said that out loud."Racism is a concept that only began in the 15th century, so it hasn't been thousands of years;.
The real tragedy here is that actual racism is often overlooked and goes unchecked because of rabid ultrasensitivity. This is the smartest thing you said. Does "racism" even mean anything anymore?
Just like how people call Trump a "Nazi" when in fact he actually hates Nazis so much that he had the last remaining one deported from the United States. Which, I might add, was something that no previous President had the courage to do.The real tragedy here is that actual racism is often overlooked and goes unchecked because of rabid ultrasensitivity.
