Wow...that's a really good question. I think it's definitely safer (or maybe it seems safer) to just stay where you are, but then you'd never grow or learn to trust would you.

interesting ... I've been praying abt that very thing. Have been working at my current position for 3 1/2 yrs ... some great, some really hard. It's a stressful type of work. I haven't been 'looking' for another job, but an opportunity has just been dropped in front of me.

My first reaction.... fear ... 'cause it's change and I don't 'do' change very well. But as I've prayed abt it, I think this new job may be what God has for me. A new challenge & chance to trust Him ...

Please pray that He will lead me in the days ahead ...

Amen!
1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of Him.

I will be praying for you Cresanna.
And...a belated welcome to you. I just noticed that you are new.

On another note...I think that CF needs a lot of prayer right now. More than ever.

I firmly believe that God is in control of this situation.. It did not catch Him by surprise.. He didn't say, Opps.. I didn't see that coming!

If the changes are His Will, they will succeed.. If they're not.. they won't.. His Way, His Will, His Time..

A professor in college told me that change/adversity should be viewed as an opportunity.. So I choose to see the "New CF" as an opportunity for growth.. an opportunity to improve..

If I am still a mod after we change to the new voting system, I will continue to enourage, build up & exhort the members of CF..

If I am not a Mod when the system changes, I will continue to enourage, build up & exhort the members of CF..

You see I wear these rose-colored glasses.. I can choose to be happy.. or I can choose to be upset..

The Pollyanna in me chooses to dance!

I posted earlier in this thread about having to face this weekend with my relatives and being afraid about it, but can now post and say I did survive the weekend

God is good! it was actually ok, more than that I can see God working slowly and steadily in the whole situation and that is so encouraging because sometimes I have wondered where He is in all of this and it was wonderful to see that He is healing both me and my relatives, gently and purposely He is working.

Thank you again so much for all your advice and prayers, it was so encouraging too to know people had prayed and were praying, God bless

Praying that God will keep you in His peace throughout the time of change.
God bless you.

It's good to see you.
How are things with you?

Hiya GT - good to see you too. I'm well, at the moment - started a new job on Wednesday which I found through a friend of mine. I'm training at the moment and seeing how I go for a couple of weeks. So far I'm enjoying the job and learning.

That's lovely Amanda

I think it's awhile since I quoted my own post! - but feel it necessary in order to keep up to date as possible with what people are feeling and thinking!

If this is new to you, please read above first.

Okay, please, please, PLEASE do not leave CF! Nothing's yet set it stone. I am going to try and make a brief but serious representation to Erwin about the proposed changes. As are others.

Change can be scarey to many people. But it's not evil nor bad! Often it's necessary. God does NOT like ruts, i.e., for us to get in a rut and stay there. And remember, HE will help you by His ever-present Spirit with anything and everything you may be having problems with. 'Running away' is seldom the answer...

If CF were to change for the worse - and we do not yet know that it will - THEN is the time to reassess what we do and were we 'be'. Not before! (And I already have ideas should it come to that - there's no reason this wonderful Family here should EVER be badly harmed. No way, hosay!)

Any problems you're experiencing, please share them here so we can go through this TOGETHER, okay!

Piles of love to everyone, and I do mean everyone!!!

Im looking at the thread that has as usual expanded like the waist of a drunk man's belly and I'm shocked as usual...

What I can say for now is that WE ALL NEED JESUS! Everyone of us! This life and this world that we live in is totally unpredictable and chaotic! Gosh for now I have no other words to say but that "WE ALL NEED JESUS!" Lord we come before You and beg on our knees saying that we all need You despite what our egoes may say at times. Jesus we need You so badly because we are NOTHING without You!

By the way, like my new font? I love you all and God bless u all. Thank you for showing me God's love and thank you all for your support! at the moment I'm in Kuala Lumpur at my aunty's place. Will be staying in hostel tomorrow. As usual, blankgirl is nervous and going nuts because of her crazy nerves kicking in. HAHA.. muahz to all of u!

The Lord has really been speaking to me about obedience. Also reading a book about it by Andrew Murray. I think maybe the important thing here is not whether you stay in the boring or move on to eg China, it is where does God want you.
That is not always an easy one because some of us prefer the boring, but God may require you in eg China. Others would jump at eg China, but God requires you to stay in the boring.
Often when God uses someone I have wondered why He doesn't use me in that way. But He has 'jobs' for you to do that He has equipped you for. If you had to try and do someone elses you would probably get it completely wrong.

So true.
And also learning to be content with where you are, whether boring or exciting, because God has put you there for a reason.
I learned that lesson the hard way...kicking and screaming! And I still have my moments, but in the most part...

This is a truely wonderful example of what is lacking in our respective countries. We think we can get rid of God but still have peace and harmony. We want to do things our way but still have the blessings. There are principles that need to be put into practice for us to gain the promises of God.

Yes, it's easy to do what I want to do for God - not always so easy to do what He wants me to!
I love Andrew Murray! I'm reading " The Secret of Intercession" at the moment.

Lord we pray that you will be Cresanna in the days ahead. Comfort her and give her peace about the new job. Lord we pray that you will prepare the way ahead, the people she will work with and Cresanna herself for what you have for her to do. May this be an assignment from You, in Jesus name we pray, amen

Great posts guys! Lot of good and Godly wisdom!

Whether we're talking major life choices, or a new job for ShadowCat (great news!) and Cresanna, or Blankgirl starting a new experience in Kuala Lumpur, and more...

Living the life God wants for us seems to me to simply be:

.:: finding what He wants me to do and be

.:: then doing what He wants me to do and be!

If you read my blog you would have seen that last night I posted about leaving CF. I was not leaving because of the changes but I was leaving because I felt that the love and support that I had been getting before was dwindling. That people where tired of my prayer requests, were tired of my popping in, and were tired of the things I had to say. So I was going to step away for awhile and then see if I could come back.

Well I was skimming the posts today and I see what can only be described as panic about these proposed changes. This is what I have to say about it...I admit I could be reading everyone wrong but what I say here is what SEEMED to be the biggest concern for others.

Friends! Do not be afraid of the changes that are coming. Change can be good! Are you worried about nonChrisitans coming in now and testing your faith? Are you scared they are going to turn you against God the one you claim to love with all your heart, soul, and mind? If you are stop right now and ask God and Christ to come into your heart and guide you and lead you! Christ said that he would be there to help us through tough times that He would aide us when we are tempted if we but ask!

Don't look at this as a time of falling for CF look at this as a chance to bring more to the flock! Here is a chance to let people see what Christians think, see, struggle with, and believe. Let them see our hope, our prayers, our friendship, our devotion, and our unending believe that God is good!

Friends it was easy for people to come into the Christian boards be they Christian or not they just had to say they were! They have been there and we have been tested! We have overcome thus far - keep faith and keep going giving all the glory to God.

Be true Christians. Welcome into our loving embrace those that are curious enough to seek out our posts. Be kind. Don't judge. Allow them to ask questions stand firm in what you believe and ask God before you speak. Do not attack - even if you are attacked. Be loving. Be CHRIST LIKE. God loves us all and it breaks His heart to see us sin-yes God even loves the 'non-Chrisitans'. Remember let the sinless cast the first stone.

May God bless you all friends.
