Wow...that's a really good question. I think it's definitely safer (or maybe it seems safer) to just stay where you are, but then you'd never grow or learn to trust would you.
Lord, we ask for wisdom for the teams and their leaders. That You give them insight and good judgement in making decisions. Father, we ask that You keep all of them safe, warm, well-fed and hydrated and bug bite free. That strife will stay out of the teams that interact with each other and governing entities. Help the leaders of communities be cooperative with the teams that come in from out of town. We ask that you remove all hinderances from doing their jobs. Bless their hands, Lord as they help people get out of dangerous situations. We pray, Lord, that there is no loss of life or limb, to rescuers or victims. Be with them, Lord, guide them as they find the victims and bring them to safety. May thier equipment function as it is designed to do and not malfunciton. May their supplies be more than enough.
Amen.
I will be praying for you Cresanna.interesting ... I've been praying abt that very thing. Have been working at my current position for 3 1/2 yrs ... some great, some really hard. It's a stressful type of work. I haven't been 'looking' for another job, but an opportunity has just been dropped in front of me.
My first reaction.... fear ...'cause it's change and I don't 'do' change very well. But as I've prayed abt it, I think this new job may be what God has for me. A new challenge & chance to trust Him ...
Please pray that He will lead me in the days ahead ...
CF CHANGES
Let's stay calm, at rest, and trusting God regarding changes to CF. The 'fuss and bother' in the thread is perfectly normal human behaviour whether we're talking believers or unbelievers. I'm not saying it's all right behaviour - just nothing to be surprised about.
Some people have strong feelings, others are taking the opportunity to 'say their piece' others the opportunity to argue, be nasty, etc. All normal humanity. Please don't allow yourself to be moved. Stay founded on the Rock which is Jesus!
Hopefully The Inner Room will be able to stay the haven it is for those of us who want to be with others who love God, and a place where we can learn and grow - together, helping and supporting each other!
If not, then in the Lord, and only in and by Him, we shall COPE with whatever may come! We're not promised an easy path, just one where He is ALWAYS WITH US! That's where I live, and how I live. Let's stick together, and meantime pray and trust that God will both reveal and protect what HE wants for us - together!
He WILL show us the way - if we put our full trust in Him!!!
God protect and bless us all!!!

EDIT! Any who you may find who seem concerned or upset about the proposed changes, please refer them to this post #116 for the time being. Thankyou!

On another note...I think that CF needs a lot of prayer right now. More than ever.
I posted earlier in this thread about having to face this weekend with my relatives and being afraid about it, but can now post and say I did survive the weekend
God is good! it was actually ok, more than that I can see God working slowly and steadily in the whole situation and that is so encouraging because sometimes I have wondered where He is in all of this and it was wonderful to see that He is healing both me and my relatives, gently and purposely He is working.
Thank you again so much for all your advice and prayers, it was so encouraging too to know people had prayed and were praying, God bless
Lord help these changes taken place
And that you will uplift all to you
Watch over what these mods need to do
And let it be done
In thy name and will amen
Rebecca!!
It's good to see you.
How are things with you?
A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little
girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked like.
Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed the
map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Shelby ,
and said, "Go into the other room and see if you can put this together.
this will show you our whole country today."
After a few minutes, Shelby returned and handed him the map,
correctly fitted and taped together. The father was surprised and asked
how she had finished so quickly.
"Oh," she said, "on the other side of the paper is a picture of
Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where they belonged, then our country
just came together."

Oh...I am glad it went well for you.I posted earlier in this thread about having to face this weekend with my relatives and being afraid about it, but can now post and say I did survive the weekend

A new job!Hiya GT- good to see you too. I'm well, at the moment - started a new job on Wednesday which I found through a friend of mine. I'm training at the moment and seeing how I go for a couple of weeks. So far I'm enjoying the job and learning.
Again...I think it's awhile since I quoted my own post! - but feel it necessary in order to keep up to date as possible with what people are feeling and thinking!
If this is new to you, please read above first.
Okay, please, please, PLEASE do not leave CF! Nothing's yet set it stone. I am going to try and make a brief but serious representation to Erwin about the proposed changes. As are others.
Change can be scarey to many people. But it's not evil nor bad! Often it's necessary. God does NOT like ruts, i.e., for us to get in a rut and stay there. And remember, HE will help you by His ever-present Spirit with anything and everything you may be having problems with. 'Running away' is seldom the answer...
If CF were to change for the worse - and we do not yet know that it will - THEN is the time to reassess what we do and were we 'be'. Not before! (And I already have ideas should it come to that - there's no reason this wonderful Family here should EVER be badly harmed. No way, hosay!)
Any problems you're experiencing, please share them here so we can go through this TOGETHER, okay!
Piles of love to everyone, and I do mean everyone!!!

Im looking at the thread that has as usual expanded like the waist of a drunk man's belly and I'm shocked as usual...
What I can say for now is that WE ALL NEED JESUS! Everyone of us! This life and this world that we live in is totally unpredictable and chaotic! Gosh for now I have no other words to say but that "WE ALL NEED JESUS!"Lord we come before You and beg on our knees saying that we all need You despite what our egoes may say at times. Jesus we need You so badly because we are NOTHING without You!
By the way, like my new font? I love you all and God bless u all. Thank you for showing me God's love and thank you all for your support! at the moment I'm in Kuala Lumpur at my aunty's place. Will be staying in hostel tomorrow. As usual, blankgirl is nervous and going nuts because of her crazy nerves kicking in. HAHA.. muahz to all of u!
The Lord has really been speaking to me about obedience. Also reading a book about it by Andrew Murray. I think maybe the important thing here is not whether you stay in the boring or move on to eg China, it is where does God want you.Wow...that's a really good question. I think it's definitely safer (or maybe it seems safer) to just stay where you are, but then you'd never grow or learn to trust would you. Because asking God to bring a challenge your way is definitely trusting that He will do what is right for you. It took me a lot of years to realize that God always has my best interest at heart...always. So it is easier to trust no matter what the situation is, even if it is not where I think I should be going or what I think I should be doing (or in a lot of cases what I want to be doing). To answer your question. No, not happier, but definitely more complacent.Although uninteresting and unstimulating jobs aside...God can still use you in that situation...if you let Him. I'm glad your son went and I'm sure that God used him well (and is still using him if he is still there). God bless you laterunner...have a refreshing weekend.
So true. The Lord has really been speaking to me about obedience. Also reading a book about it by Andrew Murray. I think maybe the important thing here is not whether you stay in the boring or move on to eg China, it is where does God want you.
That is not always an easy one because some of us prefer the boring, but God may require you in eg China. Others would jump at eg China, but God requires you to stay in the boring.
Often when God uses someone I have wondered why He doesn't use me in that way. But He has 'jobs' for you to do that He has equipped you for. If you had to try and do someone elses you would probably get it completely wrong.
This is a truely wonderful example of what is lacking in our respective countries. We think we can get rid of God but still have peace and harmony. We want to do things our way but still have the blessings. There are principles that need to be put into practice for us to gain the promises of God.A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little
girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked like.

Lord we pray that you will be Cresanna in the days ahead. Comfort her and give her peace about the new job. Lord we pray that you will prepare the way ahead, the people she will work with and Cresanna herself for what you have for her to do. May this be an assignment from You, in Jesus name we pray, ameninteresting ... I've been praying abt that very thing.
