I know we cannot avoid conflict entirely but we sure can decide that this is a safe haven for us.
I know what it feels like to find a new church to go to. My husband and I desperately needed a good church with a full time pastor and a congregation that feels like family after Josh died. We tried one and it was awful. Then we opened our hearts to the one that God was leading us to and it is everything we need and more. I cannot even begin to identify the blessings and peace this church has brought into our lives. This is the kind of experience I hope all of us get a chance to have.
I don't know if any of you have lost a child but it is an awful experience. I tend to be on a roller-coaster of sorts both emotionally and spiritually ever since Josh died. There are days when I need support and prayer and other days where I can offer strength to others from what has developed in my heart and soul.
I hope to fit in well here and also hope that I have good things to offer the other members who are here. God Bless each and every one of you!!

Hey everyone, sorry it's been a while since I posted. Yesterday I caught up on the posts made since I last posted on page 9 and I was shocked by the hostility and anger in a couple of pages. Last night as I lay in bed before going to sleep, I was thinking whether I would ever visit the IR again - yes I seriously considered saying farewell and not come back. However reading your posts Bondman, I have decided to stay.
