A "hub" is an icon with three horizontal lines. If you look at the top right of your monitor right now, you will probably see a hub. These icon leads you to a variety of software options, already installed in your browser, that let you easily customize or find things.

Windows 10 also contains a hub. Click the Start Button and your programs will appear. But at the very top left corner, there will be a hub. It makes it easy to find things in Windows 10.

Nope; my fairly new (Dec '15) HP LT Win10 does not have the "hub" (also called the 'file' icon as it's supposed to look like the front of a disc file system) but it does have a "most used" list in the top left corner of the start page; which is handy.

Last year I had a Win7 LT that I installed Win10 on; and I believe that might of had the File icon in the start page; MS must of changed it.

If I point at the Windows icon that opens the start page (with the start page open or not) and right click on it a box of various useful items opens up;

Good to hear from you, Mnorian. Your post shows that you have right-clicked the Start Button. If you left-click it, you will see the hub in the top left corner.

If you will carefully read my post you will see I said "right click" the start button to bring up that list; and I would show you the start page with a screen shot but I have personal details in it; and it does NOT have the 'hub' in the top left corner but a 'person' icon, above the "most used list" with my name next to it and when you click on it a box opens up and three items appear: Change account, lock. and sign out.

Do you have the upgrade version of Win 10? as mine is a new laptop; with Win 10 factory installed, and it is different then the upgrade version in several ways.

@Vince59; I looked up Hub in Windows and the only thing I could find was a 'Hub' for those that had joined the "Windows Insider Program" which they explained about the Hub:

"When you join the Insider Program you also get the Insider Hub app, where you can keep up on the latest Insider news, rate builds, and go on feedback quests. The Insider Hub is already pinned to Start, so go ahead and use it whenever you're ready."

Here is an image from Microsoft.com about the Hub; and in the left corner you can see the file icon for the Hub:

Are you in the Insider Program? I've thought about signing up for that but was worried that one of the beta preview updates would have a glitch and crash my PC.
