This is one of those things that just makes a Christian smile, heheh or atleast it did this Christian.
This happened just last week.
I had been waiting on payday for around 3 weeks so that I could pay off some bills and then finance an automobile. During those 3 weeks I frequently prayed for God to guide me to the vehicle that he wanted me to have.
So finally, this past Saturday, I had my bills paid and went that morning searching for an automobile. We went to 3 different used car lots and nothing really stood out. Then we stopped at the 4th, it was rather large used car lot. We started on the side that had the cars and worked our way over to the far side that had the trucks and suvs. I spotted an old Jeep Cherokee, and we checked it over and noticed that there was no way to roll the windows down. Then I cranked it up and sounded like it was on it's last legs. So it was a "no".
My Dad spotted a Ford Explorer. The salesperson got the key, and I unlocked the door and opened it. The stench of mildew almost knocked me down. That truck smelled like it had been pulled out of a river and set in the sun for a week.
I noticed a Honda Passport. I opened the door to it, and immediately caught the smell of beer. I mentioned it to the salesperson, and he admitted that he had found a beer bottle laying under the vehicle.
About the time that I shut the door on the Honda, my Dad called me over to two 1993 model Jeep Grand Cherokees. One was green, and the other was red. My Dad pointed to a small Jesus fish emblem on the back of the green one.
We looked through the windows at the mileage on both, and the red one had less mileage. But the Jesus emblem on the green one drew us to it. So we asked to drive it. The green one drove fine but had a few cosmetic issues, and the oil pressure was almost non-existent. The oil pressure was a problem. So we took it back and parked it back beside the red one.
My Dad and sister had already gotten back into his truck. I asked my Dad if he thought we should check out the red one, and he said I guess so. When the salesperson came over I asked for the key and the price to the red one. He said that the red one was the same price as the green one. So after getting the key, I got in it and cranked it up. Oil pressure was good, interior was in better condition than the green one. My Dad walked up to the window with a huge grin on his face. He told me to take a close look at the rear window when I got a chance. I got out and walked back there and looked. In the window was what I can only assume was a God Bless America sticker. Only the sticker was so faded that the only visible thing left on the sticker were the words God Bless. We drove it, it drove fine, and needless to say I came home with red one.
