I realize many of you probably read much of or about philosophy. But as far as discussion goes, is CF your main haunt or are you also frequenting other forums on a regular basis?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, I don´t have any other guilty pleasures as far as online philosophy discussion is concerned.

I've been in other forums prior to this one ... they all disintegrated. I was just curious what people thought of the discourse here vs. elsewhere.
It was a lead up to some other questions, such as:
What is the toughest philosophical question you've faced?
For those whose view opposes yours, what do you think is the toughest question for them to answer?

Since I am not attending other online forums I would have to compare the discourse here to the discourses I have the fortune to have in real life.
With few exceptions, there´s no comparison.
I can´t think of any.
I´m still waiting for a moral objectivist to make a good case for his idea.

I don't know which way you meant this. Are you saying you find real life conversation more satisfying, internet discussion more satisfying, or just that there is no basis for comparing them?
So the answers you found were easy to find? Hmm. Sometimes in hindsight I realize the simplest answer turned out to be the best, but that doesn't mean it was an easy road to get there.
Again, I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean Ayn Rand's objectivism or the idea that morals apply universally?

The most difficult problems I have encountered are ones using logic or maths I have not learned, like predicate logic or infinite set theory.
