The Great Awakening

This poem was given to me by God right after 9/11 happened. It made front page headlines in our local paper and I read it at various 9/11 ceremoinies around northern louisiana. Hope you all enjoy it and feel free to let me know your opinon k!!

" The Great Awkening"

There is a man sitting up in heaven looking down on the world
He is more powerful than the bombs, the terrorists, and even the president
He can mend the broken hearts and unite the world as One!

There is a man sitting up in heaven whom can get the whole world down on their knees to pray and thank God that they are will alive today.

The truth is out there and shall be known that he is coming soon...but we shall never know the date. It could be morning, night, or noon.

The families will heal
The buildings rebuilt
But the world shall never forget the lesson they learned that one horrific day
For it truely was The Great Awakening!

 

[One Son of Many]

Do you ever wonder if God looks down from heaven watching us and shakes his head in disapproval? Sort of like when a group of children are acting up, not knowing a parent is around the corner watching and listening to the way they are misbehaving. Thing is, pretty soon, that parent stops watching and listening and comes from his/her vantage point to intervene and makes all the children go home.

That was one of the images this poem manifested in my head....hehe.
