I was raised Catholic, but I converted away a few years back into an Evangelist.

It's a long story, and my good friend from CF and from OBOB has been helping me out a lot with the Catholic Faith, trying to get me back with the Church.

So a few days ago I dreamn't I was in the Basement of my old house, I reached for a wooden box and opened it, and out came a Golden Rosary falling into my hands. The dream was comforting.

So now I am on the Search to find the Golden Rosary at Catholic Shops, so my question is-

Is the Rosary a good way maybe to start out again?

1) It might be a bit difficult and pricey to find a gold rosary. However, there have been miracles where rosaries have turned to gold. Perhaps that was what was going on in your dream?

2) Absolutely, the Rosary would be a great place to start back, meditating on Christ's life as well as asking for our Blessed Mother to bring you closer to her Son.... I would also suggest talking to a local priest, Confession, and a visit to Mass :)

Oh yes, it most certainly is!

I believe your dream was sent you directly from heaven!

I don't know that you need to find a literal golden Rosary, the Rosary itself is golden!

I don't know exactly what you saw, but here is one - A St Theese golden rosary:

The Rosary became my trusted companion on my way into the Catholic Church. :)

I know of one specific case personally, of a rosary turning to gold .. a friend's mother had a rosary that the day after it was blessed by Pope John Paul II when he visited the US, turned to gold.

Everyone has such wonderful responses. I did try to find the gold rosary online, but I remember the 'Our Father' beads were glass with roses etched on them, and the rosary was glowing in my dream.

Some of the Prices for Rosaries were about over $1,000. I can dream right? :holy:

I did find my Glow and the Dark Rosary when I was 8 yrs old in my room. Actually I believe what everyone is saying that Gold Rosary has a meaning, but I will still keep my eyes open for the one I saw, highly doubt I will find it, but it's the meaning that counts after all.

So maybe I will start out with one Decade tonight for starters. I still have doubts about the Rosary, but because of this doubt, this was apart of the reason why I left the Catholic Faith.

And my wonderful friend from OBOB has already gotten my foot in the door, not all the way in, but I'm making progress more than I did 5 months ago. ^_^

I like the rosary prayer very much, and I would recommend it for everybody. Maybe the rosary's golden color was symbolic only. The rosary is a gift from heaven, and it's a treasure, even if it's not made of gold. -- I personally wouldn't buy a rosary with goldplated or golden eloxated beads, they wear off very quickly. I'm also skeptical concerning stories of rosaries turning to gold (this allegedly happens a lot in Medjugorje, and it was first reported in Necedah, Wisconsin.) In the case of many rosaries the links did turn to gold. This is a little strange, because the church blesses the cross and the beads (and the medal, if the rosary does have one) but not the links. Older Catholic Encyclopedias clearly state that the blessing is on the beads. A rosary does not loose its blessing if it is re-chained, re-strung or if some beads are exchanged for unblessed ones. But it does loose its blessing if a considerate number of blessed beads is replaced with unblessed ones. The links are never mentioned.
My counsel…just pray the rosary. The rosary's great treasure are the graces that can be obtained through this prayer.
