My Youth Group has a special prayer session on the last Friday of every month called a Prayer Vigil... It starts right after 8:00 PM bible study, and keeps going on until 6:00 AM... I decided to go, because I had many troubles in my life. I prayed very hard, and then the Pastor said, "We will start praying for gifts. Pray to God without any doubts in him, and he will give you a gift..."
When I prayed, I tried to have no doubts, and then all of a sudden, I knew I was special, because Jesus died for me on the cross and even though I knew I had so many troubles, I knew God would protect me. A little while later, I recieved the gift of tongue. At first, I didn't know what I was saying, but I realized inside me, "This must be a gift from God." It seemed my tongue had a mind of its own. When I set my mind on something to say, my tongue would automatically move and speak in tongue.
I felt so blessed... I was glad I was there at the Prayer Vigil. I felt like all my worries and sins were washed away... I talked to the Pastor about it, because to tell the truth, I was a little afraid. But he said, "Do not be afraid. Pray to God everyday, and practice your gift."
So I pray for all of you people out there. Have no doubts in God. If you have no doubts and just ask him, he will give you a gift. But you must believe in him completely.
