The news media is so far to the left that not only do they not report the whole story, often they out and out lie. All the network and cable news shows are reporting all the criticism that is being leveled at President Bush about Hurricane Katrina's destruction. They all know the reat of the story or should at least investigate and then report the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey would say.
The President may not be perfect, but he deserves none of this criticism. President Bush offered to use Federal resources to evacuate New Orleans and was turned down by the Governor of La. She said they could handle it, yet did you see all the flooded buses, why wheren't they out of there with the people who supposedly were ordered to leave.
Then when the levy gave way the President offered immediate help, again she did nto accept it but instead wanted to think about it for 24 hours. It wasn't until the Pres. flew over and saw the destrustion first hand that he took control of the situation.
Why wasn't the guard there sooner? again it was the Governors responsibility. Each states Governor controls that states national guard. When they were sent in it was such a shooting gallery they had to wait for reinforcements to do anything.
Oh both the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of La. are Dems. I wonder if this had anything to do with them not wanting to accept help from a republican President. At least the Mayor now knows why his city didn't receive help. It wasn't the Mayor who turned down the help but why weren't the people removed, thats what manditory is, you must go.
God have mercy on all those who are suffering because of the game of politics.
