  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What does this verse mean to you as a Christian?

Philippians 2:4
4not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Our fellowship did a lot of things together. We were small (now we are smaller) but we worked together. We washed our cars together, looked after our gardens and helped with projects. We also mowed the lawns of some people who were unable to do it themselves. When a new person came into the fellowship, we would pitch in together to meet any need that they might have.

Things are a little different now as most of the people have moved on. I hope that they have taken the principle of helping one another with them. We will grow again (one new believer just yesterday) and we will maintain the same principles.

I don't think that covers the entire spectrum here. Say someone you meet is interested in a particular style of music, something you know nothing about. Is that an opportunity for you to learn about something new, and connect with that person?

Well, it's obviously not talking about money or mutual understanding. Just about thoughts and prayers and wishing for others to become more like yourself so they too can become happy.
