I think that by the time the Anti-Christ rules the world there will be no America. At least not as we know it. I hate to think of it, but not even America can stand up to the most powerful political leader of all time.

I'm sure that America's fall will be quick and violent. Because Americans are strong in the love of their country and wouldn't go down without a fight.

This is identical to another thread that went through this forum.

I believe that America is the Babylon talked about in Revelations and that it will fall very quickly in a war with the antichrist.

So I guess it will fall like Rome. It's already in moral decay like ancient Rome and someday soon it will fall violently to the next great power on the scene.

By becomming too big to be governed by a single ruler, splitting up into 2 seperate yet equal empires, and then being defeated by the Barbarian hordes? No.
well put!
But here's the similarities. Power founded on agressive militarism but people become to decadent to fight to keep what they have. Insane ammounts of money spent on defence due to above decadence. Have made themselves unpopular with the rest of the world while by no means keeping weaknesses a secret and having to pay huge sums to anyone willing to be an ally. Great ammount of internal discord.
There are a lot of similarities.

How many times do I have to explain this? serriously America doesnt have any rivals knocking at the door ready to attack, suyre China's becoming economically strong but at the end of the day alot of China's still backwards. Europe is forced to work together in a union and yet we've got so much burcoracy were unable to decide anything. India's going through a spurt of economic growth but has far to much poverty right now to catch up and Russia's goverment is corrupt.

America will fall because it will go bankcrupt, the growing healthcare crisis will brake America's back, this combined with a millitary over strech anyway.

With the fall of America the rest of the world will be sunk into an economic depression (both europe and china ship alot of their goods to america) so a domminant power wont emerge oh and America will have a civil war for deffinet.

God forbid that America ever falls but if and when America falls do u think that it will fall like ROme?

Not like Rome, but probably more like that of the British empire, which is not so much of a sudden collapse as a long-term decrease in influence.

Only another 950 years to go.

1200 if you count from Augustus being titled Imperator in 23 BC to the Fall of Byzantium in AD 1453.

1700 if you count from the founding of the Roman Reoublic in 509 BC.

But America will be Mexico Norte in 100 years or so.

So America will fall to mass migration like Rome did.

America has an evergrowing population of nonworkers living off the government via welfare and social security. This is a parallel with Rome as Rome was giving away food to the populace to avoid rioting in its latter days. Rome also had a huge trade deficit as it was importing spices and exporting gold, like the US deficit with China. Massive immigration, both are similar. Moral decay, another similarity. If we look to Rome to know how a nation dies, the US might want to look at changing a few areas in the interest of self-preservation.

Some points:

1. Rome moved from Paganism to Christianity before it fell. Generally speaking, America is moving away from Christianity (officially).

2. From 1/3 to 2/3 of Rome was slaves in the fifth century AD. I don't see a parallel in America.

3. Rome's emperors were chosen in a much different way from America's leaders.

4. Rome conquered areas and took large amounts of money and loot from them. America conquers areas and pumps large amounts of money and rebuilding into them.

5. England has not fallen in almost 1,000 years. Why should America?
