Do you kiss her right hand when you meet her?
We Orthodox kiss the right hands of our priests because of their handling of the body and blood of Christ. We venerate the hands that carry Christ.
Would that we all venerate our tongues that receive Him, and use that tongue only to honor the Lord. Would that we who receive in the hand, see that hand as consecrated by His Gift, and do only works that please and honor Him.

Would that we who have tabernacles to hold Him in continuing Presence in our churches, enter that Holy church in Holiness of mind, spirit and body, presenting ourselves in righteousness to Him Who Is Righteous.

It is a nice pious action for sure. But certainly not required.
