I am new here. I needed somewhere to write down my thoughts to help me get through some tough things. I guess you can say this will kinda be my journal.

I have only been cutting for a couple of months, but I have already become addicted. No one knows about my problem. And I don't even have the strength to explain yet why I do it. I just know the Lord is going to help me beat this.

Welcome We are so glad you found us. I hope this forum and all of us can be a blessing in your life. I am sorry you are struggling with self-injury. I know your struggle, as I strugged with self-injury for many years. Our God is an awesome and loving God. He knows your struggle and wants nothing more than to help. So do we. Always remember, God is there during the greatest times, and even the most dark and depressing ones. God will be there through it all..
Your never alone in your struggles..You have God as well as others who have struggled or are struggling with the same thing.
I have faith in all self-injurers that they all will break away from this habit of self-hurt and live more happier and healthier lives. I have so much faith because I was down that road once, and God pulled me off of it.
I shall pray that God helps you through these tough times..and help you pull away from it all and live happily with him in your life!

I am sorry to hear that you have already become addicted. Luckily it seems like you are eager to quit...so that's such a blessing. I've only managed to do it with the love and support of a few trusted friend, and my Bible close in hand. After 8 years of cutting I've been free for about 5 months now. It is a hard battle but with God on your side you can do it and we'll be here to support you through it!

I hope you can find someone to talk to when these feelings come up.Do you have a close christian friend you can turn to?I found it best to talk to someone who is a christian because someone who is secular doesn't understand how it affects you spiritualy,the more you call on the Lord the easier it is to overcome the feelings,I have complete faith that God will remove this from you,and I will be praying for you,God bless.

I'm sorry that you've become addicted to cutting, after only a couple months - but you are right in saying that through God you can conquer this!! It's not easy, but if you are willing to fight then you can and will triumph. This I promise you. Remember, like Berry said, Phil. 4:13- "I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me."

Darn, you sound like me a bit in how things are going for you. I because a SI'er in a quick moment of time and a few months later, exit-ed the scene. I still bear the pain of it on my arm unfortunately, but it is past me now. good luck, my the force of the spirit be with you.
