So, the world is going to end in just shy of four months. Are you prepared?

So, the world is going to end in just shy of four months. Are you prepared?
I wonder, will anyone actually prepare with full conviction, without backup-plan in case the world won't end?
I doubt that.
In any way, I answered no.
I remember reading about one girl in China, or thereabouts, who killed herself because she didn't want to see the end of the world in 2012. Kinda shuts people up when they say it's all a bit of harmless fun...I wonder, will anyone actually prepare with full conviction, without backup-plan in case the world won't end?

Those Christians who thought the world was going to end last year did the same thing - sold their worldly belongings and gave it to the preacher. It must've been the strongest experience of cognitive dissonance ever felt when midnight October 22nd came aroundSome of those Doomsday Preppers have spent close to all of their life savings on canned goods, bunkers and gear...
I just hope it has resale value if the world does not, in fact, died.

The idea was that with the money, the preacher could save more souls.Gave it to the preacher!? wasn't he going, too?
Didn't Jesus say that the second coming will occur during the generation of his disciples? The funny thing is, despite what some Christians say, we should know the general time when our Savior returns because He tells us. He says all these wars, famine, pestilence, earthquakes, death, etc. is the beginning of the end, not the end. Christ even says that people will say the end is here, and that people would say He was coming, or that He is here or there. And, He says THOSE PEOPLE ARE LIARS!!! Still, some people trust the preachers more than Christ I guess.
Given the breadth of possible ways the world could end, there's just no way to prepare for them all. Pick one and hope it happensAnyway, no one can prepare for the end of the world [as we know it] except on a spiritual level. Physically, the same people putting their faith in stocks of stored food can die from ptomaine poisoning, or tetanus, and not from a nuke/asteroid/aliens/Antichrist/super-tsunami/etc. That is not to say if there is a threat of a disaster no one should prepare, but you cant physically prepare for the end of the world as you know it: it is a paradigm shift.

I guess that's the way to go if one expects a natural disaster, it could come in handy if a stray asteroid is detected in the future though. Some of those Doomsday Preppers have spent close to all of their life savings on canned goods, bunkers and gear...

I guess all drastic things will have its victims, I bet she's not the only one.I remember reading about one girl in China, or thereabouts, who killed herself because she didn't want to see the end of the world in 2012. Kinda shuts people up when they say it's all a bit of harmless fun...
The world will not end until:
1. The Rapture
2. 7 years of the Tribulation period
3. The 1000-year [millennial] reign of Christ
Wrong! The world ended 2000 years ago!
The dispensation [of Law] ended 2000 years ago ... not the world.
Now we are under the dispensation of Grace.
Whoa whoa wait! I think you just committed the unpardonable sin of not taking the Bible literally word-for-word!
You are twisting the words of Our Holiness, King James into saying that "the Son of Man coming in his kingdom" doesn't mean Christ's return to earth but instead means something about the "dispensation of law"???
Either you are wrong or you don't believe that the King James Bible is the literal, inerrant word of God.
Which is it gonna be?
... Have a nice day!
