The Ekklesia

The ekklēsía is the church,
For nothing else should our hearts search.
All others, businesses of men,
On Holy Spirit not depend.

So differentiate, not same.
So many, they just play the game.
They follow marketing of men
And on their words they do depend.

But Holy Spirit reveals truth,
What others have not any clue.
The church, it’s not designed of man,
But only follows what’s God’s plan.

The church is worshipers of God,
Who to some people, they seem odd.
They follow Jesus, trust His Word,
And do not follow what’s absurd.

They’ve died with Jesus to their sins,
And Holy Spirit lives within
Those living to obey His Word
Which, by His grace, they now have heard.

They walk with Jesus every day,
They read their Bibles, kneel and pray.
They follow Jesus where He leads,
And God’s true sheep they aim to feed.

The purpose of our gatherings
That to each other we would sing
And help each other walk by faith
In step with God, and by His grace.

Each of us has a body part
To share with others, not depart,
To help each other, sin not walk,
And walk by faith, and not just talk.
