  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

LoH is holding up btter than I expected. I'm having trouble writing.

Kat, when your dad is gone, he's gone. Think on that. What ohers say, the "you'll be srry" bit is bullcrap as far as I'm concerned. I loved my dad, he was a hero in my state, and now it's just an empty hole here he used to be. Whether or not you like your dad is none of my business and frankly I don't care one way or the other. You just do what Kat would do. But you will remember.

Well, I'm glad your dad could be your hero. I do not disagree with the fact that fathers are important. I'm happy you hold a good image when you look back on your life. I am truly sorry you lost someone so close to you. From how you talk about him, he sounds wonderful.
