Each moment you are walking either by sin or the flesh and each moment we make the choice again.19 and 20 shows what he means by the flesh. If you walk in the Spirit you won't be in the flesh. And the more you practice walking in the Spirit, the less you think about those things in the flesh.
Remember, it is not US keeping the law, but the Spirit who changes our desires to sin to producing fruit.
You are making good points and quoting excellent verses. No we don't have to discuss OSAS. Personally, I don't know anyone, well maybe one, who hasn't continued in the faith. The Holy Spirit can be pretty convincing in His convicting.
Why are you turning this around?Well, there are folks who are in the same Eternal Security camp as you who believe Paul is talking from the perspective as a Pharisee in Romans 7:14-24. However, they wrongfully believe that Paul's mention of being dead to the Law in Romans 7:4 would include keeping the moral law that Paul struggled with in Romans 7:14-24 is not a salvation issue (if these moral laws were disobeyed on occasion). I think this is what Stuart believes but I am not sure. He also may believe that Paul is talking as a Pharisee. If he does not believe that way, then it might be the poster named "FreeGrace2" who might have said that. In any event, we know that it is wrong to say that the keeping of the moral law in regards to our salvation is abrograted because Paul says in Ephesians 5:5 that those who disobey God's moral law will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Just to repeat. If we don't repent/ tell God we are sorry when we err our salvation would have to be lost. But as surely as night follows day the born again Christian will repent for they have the law in their heart, and as you say, the Holy Spirit will be convicting them of their sin.
In regards to gal5:18. In my view it is not as cut and dried as an initial reading might suggest. It comes back to reading the Bible as a cohesive whole.
One woman, on another website said: As soon as you become a Christian, if you thereafter commit any sin you are a slave of Satan and possessed by demons.
In my view that is monstrous:
If while we seek to be justified in Christ it becomes evident that we ourselves are sinners, does this mean that Christ promotes sin?
Absolutely not, if i rebuild what I destroyed I prove I am a lawbreaker
Gal2:16&17
The Christian is a work in progress. As long as they are following that work in progress they have the assurance they are not under law but under grace. They are BEING made Holy( not perfect) heb10:14
It is when the Christian steps outside of that work in progress the problems come
Does that make sense to you?
Enjoy the programme. I only watched it once
If you come to England I hope you get good weather( never guaranteed) those villages look lovely on a warm summers day
Many times when I discuss Eternal Security, I hear two different messages. One message says a true Christian is defined by loving Jesus and by being more Christ like. Yet, another message within Eternal Security says you can die in the unrepentant sin of lying, or the sin of unforgiveness, etc. and still be saved.
What doth thou sayeth?

Why are you turning this around?
Your the one who said Romans 7:14-24 is about Paul BEFORE he became born again in Christ.
Not true. Paul is writing this from the perspective of his own struggle as a Christian. Not as a pharisee
1 ephesians 13-14There is no scripture that teaches OSAS.

Yet David committed adultery and murdered a man. The Word David is keeping in his heart is Christ. For David again said, The Lord said unto my Lord. David calls Christ his Lord. David looked forward to his redeemer.
In Christ

As we discussed earlier, the Holy Spirit would be convicting like crazy. Right? So if they repent, and turn back to God He forgives. If they don't repent, sooner or later (and I don't really know how long) the Holy Spirit after being quenched time and again will leave that person back to perdition.
Do you agree?
Open your eyes Jason, it is all about Christ.
