Ok, we all know that dinosaurs existed based on findings and all that. However, there are a lot of theories out there regarding how they became extinct. But, we all know that (at least most of us) the dinosaurs were wiped out during the great flood. I wonder what was God's reason for removing the dinosaurs. Why did He, in the first place, created them? How do you think man and other small animals lived with those gigantic creatures? Just want to know your input on this. I think it's an interesting topic.

I wouldn't say God removed the dinosaurs, Noah would've taken certain kinds of dinos on the ark. (babies of course)
After the flood the earth was just to inhospitable for dinos to survive.

Why did God create them? Read Job 40. Behemoth is described as the "chief of the ways of God." Maybe He just wanted to show His power. who can know the mind of God?

Man and other animals could easily have lived with dinos, because the probably weren't quite as savage as depicted by hollywood. Remember that all animals and man had a vegetarian diet at the beginning. Read Gen1
The eating of meat was not sanctioned until after the flood, although I suspect after the Fall meat was being consumed by both humans and animals. That is probably why God said in Gen6 that ALL flesh had corrupted it's way upon the earth.
But anyway--the bottom line is that all animals and man were created vegetarian.

So what about carnivores today if God designed all to be plant eaters? I would answer that by saying that God in his power and knowledge forsaw the Fall of man and equiped man and animals to be able to eat meat.

What we do know is that dinos did not go extint 65 million years ago. The earth wasn't even created until about 6,000 years ago!

Why does the "literal interpretation" always require me to believe things MUCH more absurd then evolution, and with no evidence?

Yes even in 2004, with the return of our Lord so near there still remains a faithful remnant who believes His word. In every generation God always has for himself a remnant.

You read it here folks. Mhess is faithful. We're not. We're not part of God's faithful remnant.

How arrogant can the fundamentalists get?

Perhaps a more appropriate question to ask would be why did God create us? There was no necessity about our creation; God did not need to create us- he chose to. If there was no necessity in our creation then there is no reason to believe that he created dinosaurs due to any need over the fact that it was His will.

Perhaps he was offended for the same reason I am now.

And I'll be blunt: you are rude

And if you call me or anyone else by that name again (and I knew exactly what you meant by it and so will everyone else), I will report you, period.

I believe that Noah did bring two of every kind and that includes dinos. Someone said earlier that he might have brought babies, which is totally possible, and we also have to remember not all dinos were T-rexes and Brachiosaurs (spelling?). There were many smaller dinos, even smaller than elephants that are believed to be brought on the ark.

Also, although mhess stooped a little low with the name calling, I think he's right. Many OEC's and TE's are way too sensative. Whenever a YEC says they're right and the opposing view is wrong, lots of the time they (the YEC) gets bashed. Dude, its what we believe and OEC/TE's do it all the time when they say we are 'narrow minded literalists' and while I don't mind the name (since Jesus is also narrow minded and His Father's Word is very literal) the way its said is demeaning.

Oh the numerous times I could have and have been tempted to thow verbal jabs but haven't (although I have thrown a few, its just so frustrating to converse with such...) because I don't want to sound as whiny as others.

My apologies to you underdog. I really didn't mean to name call. I didnt see it that way at the time. I meant it as a joke. I ask your and all other YEC's forgiveness. I'm sorry that I misrepresented YEC's and Christ.
