The Devil does not want us to be of one mind, as believers - we need to get angry at him

Hi there,

So I was just watching the times with my brother and I was saying "we need to get angry at the Devil, that he persecutes us" and my brother was saying "I believe the Glory Days of the Church are over" and it dawned on me "the Devil does not want us to be of one mind" that is "thinking like our brothers gets in the way of the plans of the Devil". As I realized this, I suddenly felt an urge to get the message out: to warn the faith, that the Devil is not waiting for a time to pick us off, one by one, but that he wants to wipe out the faith, as a whole.

Now we know that the Devil does not come forth but to steal, kill and destroy (as our friend the Lord said) but what we don't know, is what manner of focus the Devil is adopting while he does this. Yes, if we fall in sin, the Devil has an easy target and yes, we may stumble - but our eyes must be on our brothers and sisters in Christ, that we not be drawn away from them, that we not regard their plight at a distance and not pray or help. That is where our strength is! That we defend each other and hold our brothers and sisters up to the Lord as Jesus lifts us together up to His God!

The Lord is full of mercy and does not desire that anyone should perish, we should have a like mind, we should know when it is our brother is tested, when our sisters is suffering - our family in Christ is our "charge", our responsibility. We will learn to love our brothers and sisters and will be full of the Power of the Holy Spirit - He can make us friends like no other! It is in the Holy Spirit we should be rejoicing, because we know He is coming and will lift up the faith of the nations to God, as Jesus lifts us up. We will be doing this as One.

There is mercy in this, because when we have done this and remained together, the Devil finding no way in, the Devil has no choice but to relinquish the dead, that in the Power of Christ will be able to live again - the greater body of the Church rising from affliction. Not because we pray that things will work out, that people will come to their senses (though we do want that), but because we have put the Devil back in his place and have not let him raise a hand against us, any more. This is our Peace!

May these words stir courage in you, to defend the brethren in prayer and have confidence that the Church was angry at the Devil together, as One!

To love him to be gone is the best way to deal with the fiend i found.

At First i made the mistake to rage at the devil. i did that for years in my psychotic episodes, but the Spirit of Jesus taught me not to waste my energy on wrong.

Jesus taught me to love satan to be gone forever, for with that all the saints can agree. And so my love for satan's wrong to be gone became more powerful than anything else within me destroying the devil and his works out of my heart, than anything else in my life.

Simply keep loving wrong to death brother, satan really hates it when we do that.

That was accomplished 1700 years ago when Christianity abandoned the Gospel of the Kingdom and teaching the good news that God would reign once again among man, by broadsiding Jesus' message. The religion re-joined the word of man and the Adversary, teaming up with man's governance instead. God's governance was ignored, a trait common to mankind.

Father God has never denied a request from Lord Jesus. I long for the day when there will be the true joining of the Body of Christ.

i found that when we focus on the love of Christ dwelling in us believers, God in, and among us, then we will be able to be of one mind.

i also found that all Christian denominations have at times imprisoned God's truth and turned it static, instead of vibrant and alive, as the word truly is. Believers who follow such static truths are often court up attacking each other, and some even deny others salvation because they don't adhere to their points of view.

We cannot put God in a box, such is all part of the abomination which causes us our desolation.

Hmmm... agreeing without being of "one mind" - I don't think that is ultimately possible?

The anti-Christ is spoken of as having "one mind" with other kings, but I think the emphasis there is that he is "of one mind" with very few.

Whereas believers are of one mind, with infinitely many? (and they do not abandon the faith, even though they are individually "weak" - which the anti-Christ does ultimately do, which is the whole point of not being of one mind with the so called "hireling" - I could go on)

What has this got to do with our unity in Christ and us being of one mind?

Lets follow Scripture's way in deed when it comes to having fellowship with one another in His truth.

Philippians 2:2
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

So... that prayer you're quoting is only for the Galilean Apostles... and those who believe on Jesus through their word, Matthew 10:5-7... which is the same message Jesus preached since John the baptizer went to prison, Matthew 4:17... and will be the same message until the end comes: Matthew 24:14 And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
