Hello.

I singed up to spread the word of the death of athesim.

Apperently, the frequencies of sound waves look like Hebrew letters. I've recorded a video that presents this scientific discovery, and explains how it kills atheism. This discovery is completely scientific and empirical and I though Christians will be interested.

Please excuse my English and accent.

There's a mathemathical algorithm called STFT (Short Time Fourie Transform) that enables one to get the frequencies of soundwaves of a recording (a wav file), and their magnitudes, per time interval.

I ran this algorithm on the recordings of the names of Hebrew letters (Alef, Beth, etc).

Then I plotted a graph of the magnitudes of frequencies according to the time interval (Y is the frequencies, X is the time).

Then, using some very basic filtering, one can see that there are many recognizable shapes in each graph. What's special about those shapes is that in recordings of the word Alef, the shapes look like א, which is the shape of the Hebrew letter that is named Alef. Same goes for all the Hebrew letters.

Actually, any word in Hebrew creates shapes of a specific letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which makes the whole alphabet really special, as it conforms to the soundwaves of the words of the language. In addition, it is special that there's a complete match between the names of the letters and their shapes.

This is a copy paste of the description of the video:

1. There is a match between the names of Hebrew letters and their shapes in the frequencies graph of the soundwaves of the names.

2. The match could not be accidental because its probability is ridiculously low (much lower than 10^-25).

3. Which means that the one who matched the names of the Hebrew letters to their shapes knew how the frequencies graph of the soundwaves of the names looks like.

3. People, until recently, did not have computers.

4. Without a computer it is impossible to know how the frequencies graph of the soundwaves of the names of the Hebrew letters looks like.

5. So no person could make this match.

6. Under the assumption that either a person or God made the match between the names and the shapes of the Hebrew letters, this proves that God made the match, which proves that God exists of course.

7. People know about that match.

8. This proves that God told people about the names of the letters or about their shapes (or both).

9. Which proves the existence of prophecy - there had to be at least one prophet that heard about the names or shapes of the Hebrew letters (or both) from God .

10. This kills atheism.

This is of course just a summary. The rest is found in the video itself

Sounds like a high tech version of Bible Code nonsense.

Thank you for the summary.

Assuming this correlation exists as you describe it, are you suggesting that aliens with a thorough understanding of sound waves invented the Hebrew alphabet?

I'm unable to make the leap between your correlation and the existence of God. A cursory glance at your summary reveals an immediate problem with step 6; the assumption of man or God. It is suggestive of confirmation bias - that you undertook this whole exercise hoping to achieve a particular result. Can you honestly say you did not?

All of that still strikes me as just pseudoscience and wishful thinking on the part of theists. Even if Jewish characters bore some relation to sound waves, that wouldn't establish any sort of divine significance.

It amounts to:

1) Here is this amazing coincidence.
2) I don't know what could have caused that.
3) Therefore my God must be responsible.

No, I'm suggesting that God invented it.

And yes. I can honestly say that. I'm actually not the one that discovered it. Someone else found this before me. When I heard about it I didn't believe it, so I asked him for the source code of his software, when I couldn't get it I implemented it myself. I really believed it only when my code, which I knew that has no funny business, worked.

The difference between me and him is that I published the software with its code (therationalvictory.codeplex.com), so anyone can validate what I did.

And if one really wants to reject that assumption, one can. But it still leaves 2 options - God or Alians, and expecting people to belive that Alians invented the Hebrew letters is an insult to people's intelegence. Anyway, one cannot reject that assumption without really believing in alians. One cannot just say "May be alians". Anyway, there is a testemony of hearing God speak that comes from the people of Israel, who's language is Hebrew. There's no testemony of them meeting alians.

And I don't know about the bible code, but again, anyone can validate my work. I also explained how the theory of the correlation can be falsified if someone really wants to give it a shot.

You can watch the movie to understand the whole thing better

6. Under the assumption that either a person or God made the match between the names and the shapes of the Hebrew letters, this proves that God made the match, which proves that God exists of course.

And there is the extremely basic, fatal flaw in your reasoning. Even granting the best case scenario for you - that this phenomenon is real and that your methods of apprehending it were completely valid - you are no closer to 'the death of atheism'. You've hit the same stumbling block that 99% of all apologetics hit before they even get off the ground, which is an unjustified mental leap from 'here's something unique and/or strange that I can't explain' to 'an invisible wizard must have made it with magic'.

Hardly a 'rational victory'.

There's something very special about this phenomenon. It's the language we speak and use in writing.

The difference between phylosophy and physics is that physics asks: "what this is", and phylosophy asks "what can it be".

If it can only be 1 or 2, and it is not 2, than it is one. I don't have to find evidence to 1 when I have evidence that excludes 2. If you truly belive that alians invented the hebrew letters, then you found your refuge, but it is quite a pathetic refuge.

Very nice and interesting work.

When talk to atheists with a message like yours, the best way is to stop at where the fact (data) shows and let those atheists to draw their own conclusion. Some atheists will shrug shoulders and go away. But I think some atheists will probably stop and start to think.

You do not know the Bible Code? May be you should. It is something similar to your stuff.

Interesting theory.

You'll never kill atheism though, some people just dont want to believe.

Yeah, that's precisely why I find the sea of blithering, vacuous piffle known as 'apologetics' so unconvincing - personal preference. Keep telling yourself that.

I looked at it and had my friend Charles run the program. Wow! Strange as it is, you are correct. Well done....there is no rational logical explanation for this phenomenon by purely materialistic means...

As for Atheists, light has come into the world but they prefer the darkness thinking more highly of themselves than they ought...the light will come on for some as it has for so many before them...just pray for them...Long before the Bible Code questions there are other non-human oddities in the Hebrew Bible that have been noted but having already made up their minds why confuse them with the facts?

None that you have personally developed. That doesn't mean that anything goes and you may legitimately conclude whatever you want.

As for Atheists, light has come into the world but they prefer the darkness thinking more highly of themselves than they ought...

I prefer the light of reason, thank you very much. I don't accept your religious darkness.

Interesting theory.

You'll never kill atheism though, some people just dont want to believe.

Some people just can't reconcile the belief, with reality and they can't pretend they believe when they don't.

And actually, atheism has been growing the world over for many decades.
