In the Levitical sacrifices every detail had something to do with the sacrifice of Christ.
For instance the grain offering had to be of fine flour, it could not be of coarse flour.
To make flour fine it has to be beaten again and again.
Isaiah 52:14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father
Meditating on this today
Luke 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Amen. Please finish the rest of the story....it's reassuring to know that God does not grow tired of us when we're weary, tuckered out...reminds me of Elijah...remember what God did when Elijah was beyond weary, hungry, and sleep-deprived when he ran from Jezebel?
Amen. Please finish the rest of the story.
Amen brinny.LOL! Well Elijah was sooooooo weary, tuckered, and depleted, that he was runnin' till he couldn' run no more and basically just collapsed.
God wasn't mad at him. He wasn't disgusted. He didn't hate Elijah.
He merely sent a raven, to bring Elijah some food, and then Elijah was told to go to sleep, and this happened twice, i think, and wasn't there an angel there?
God "took care of" Elijah. He MINISTERED to His tuckered servant, and was a GOOD Shepherd to him.
How precious is THAT??!!
Edifying meditation.
Amen....i also appreciate that He doesn't mind us boo-hoo'ing. He saves ALL our tears in a bottle. He must have a whole LOT of bottles for me
Amen.
That will be a glorious day. No more sorrow or pain.i think maybe we won't REALLY understand the heart of God fully until we see Him face to face.
That will be a glorious day. No more sorrow or pain.
