The Crucifix

I wear a crucifix because the death of JESUS on the cross was the victory of love. When I look at a crucifix I am aware of how very much HE loved us and how much I should love HIM and others.
Watching the Passion of the Cross, reading or hearing the passion from any of the gospels shows me just how much JESUS loves me. HE loves me so much HE died for me. And it was no easy death. First HE agonized about it in the garden; then while HE was on the cross the guards taunted HIM by saying “If you are GOD come down off the cross.” HE could have done just that and killed everyone of those murderers but instead HE asked HIS FATHER to forgive them.
What love, what awesome love!!
JESUS, my LORD and my LOVER, please love others through me!! Remind me always of what YOU did for me. Every time I see a crucifix let me remember that YOU did that because YOU love me!!

Paul the apostle said, "I preach Christ and Him crucified." Also, "I am not ashamed of the cross."

Although I am not a Catholic I do appreciate the crucifix and we need to always be reminded of what Jesus did for us. We can never me reminded enough. The suffering of our dear Savior should be a precious treasure to us.
