This guy is Awesome! His information is so helpful, and it's all from the original sources thus leaving no room for anyone to say "Well that's just what you think."

Having to decide for truth once you're aware of it is a difficult thing, but thank God that the turth is available that we should not be deceived.

Glad you liked it Stryder06. I thoroughly enjoy Professor Veith in the simple yet direct way he presents evidence. He has helped me learn many new things that help confirm my SDA beliefs.

I was telling a Messianic Jew that worships with us at our church occasionally how I thought the sabbath commandment was actually a representation of the Mercy Seat. We are commonly told that the first 4 commandments instruct us how to honor God, and the next 6 commandments instruct us how to honor our fellow man.

Now the Mercy Seat covers the law, but at the same time it bridges the gap and connects the law with the Shekinah Glory above the Mercy Seat. I have always equated the law inside the Ark of the Covenant as, prophetically or as a type, of the law placed inside man's heart.

There is only one commandment that bridges this gap and connects the responsibility of honoring God and honoring man together and as I see it it's the 4th commandment. It is the only commandment where it can be seen that God is with us and we are with Him. Connected. Just as the Mercy Seat connects.
