There are massive problems with trying to explain the origin of the universe and our solar system by non-supernatural forces. I would recommend watching the two excellent videos by Spike Psarris, available from creationastronomy.com.

It's not supposed to be an explanation, but it makes just as much sense as believing that the universe just popped into existence all on its own and then, by a series of fudge factors such as employment of so-called Dark Matter and Dark Energy, we have the universe we see today. Why, we even now know for sure what 4% of the universe consists of. Sounds like faith to me, just like the faith that life could have arisen from lifeless chemicals all on its own - now where have I heard that word before? - oh yes, it's a religious term.God did it is not an explanation....
He doesn't need to be an expert - he's presenting knowledge gained by other experts and putting it all together in a way that anyone can understand. Peer reviewing is apparently not such a transparent thing as one might imagine either from what I've heard. You should take a look at the brilliant new DVD entitled "Evolution's Achilles' Heels" where 15 experts in their respective fields comment on such topics as genetics, cosmology, the origin of life, the fossil record and geology to name just a few. If you have an open mind you might even start to doubt some of the naturalistic nonsense that is currently masquerading as science. What are Spike Psarris' credentials regarding astrophysics and cosmology? According to that link he has a B.S in electrical engineering. I'll stick with the experts with published peer reviewed studies instead of someone with no formal education or training in the fields of physics, cosmology and astronomy.
