And to support the 6,000 year (give or take a few hundred years) theory I present the literature of the time...

1. The Torah - Or the books of Moses - Written around 1,300 BC.
2. The IChing - Or the books of Change - Written around 1,000 BC
3. The Proverbs of Solomon - Written around 1,000 BC
4. Works of Homer - around 1,000 BC
5. Lao-Tzu and Confucius - around 500 BC
6. The Works of Socrates - Mainly written by Plato around 350 BC

Any pictographs were made during the time of the ancients...

I would have an easier time believing that aliens placed man on earth about 4,000 BC and man progressed into what he is today. But... While we are there, and because I have experienced God on a spiritual basis, I choose to believe it was he who placed man on earth around 4,000 BC.

The matter making up the rock would be as old as the universe. The formation of the rock, which is not creating new matter, I provided was 27.5, 25.3, 26.4, 27.8 and 25.5 Ka. I had asked skywriting which date would be correct because he has previously stated that there is only one correct answer. I still await his reply. I had also asked you previously to name a specific dating method and lets discuss the problems you see with it, of which I am still waiting for a reply. I also showed how your determination for the age of the universe is a dating method. Well?

Kant distinguishes the mind in two dimensions, sensibility and understanding. Sensibility is the minds way of receiving representation of things (intuition- insight), Understanding is how the mind actively thinks about those objects. Theories about the forms of intuition and the categories of the understanding lead to distinguish phenomena (appearances as filtered through our senses and understanding) from noumena (things themselves as they exist independently from the mind which we can never know).

Noumena - The reality of previous events that has instigated our current reality, which things exist independently from the mind which we can never know

I do not believe we can have a complete understanding of what occured before 4000 BC. All we can do is build a filtered view as these things are noumena and exist independently from the mind which we can never know. Only if God reveals unto us these things can we know for certain.

The ideas you are presenting are phenomena, which are different from noumena, which are events that have happened independently from our filtered view of reality. The apologetics in this case were necessary, as God formed the earth from the galactic dust some 6,000 years ago. All rocks and minerals contain tiny amounts of radioactive elements. Radioactive elements are unstable; they breakdown spontaneously into more stable atoms over time, a process known as radioactive decay. In which case science can attempt to measure the radioactive decay and come up with a dating method.

The only problem is that God formed the earth some 6,000 years ago with the radioactive elements sewn in them. So these rock molecules appear to have an earlier date. The apologetics is needed to explain the creation story. And this thread is called the creationist corner!

That only paints God as a deceiver, making rocks (the earth) to have physical properties that are deceptive.

Now we are on the topic of dating... To put the whole creation story, from beginning to end, in perspective. If I had to pick an end time date I would go with the scientist, Isaac Newton...

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half. Daniel 12:7

As Charlemagne was crowned king on December 25, 800 by Pope Leo the III so the day of Christ's coming will be on Christmas Day, 2060. If the rapture of the saints (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) occurs seven years before the time of Christs coming the date of the rapture 12.25 2053. However Isaac Newton notes

As I would have it... 4,300 BC creation story + 2,060 AD + 1,000 millennial = 7,360 years of earth history, beginning with the seven day creation story.

As E = mc2 then m (mass) = E/c2 (energy) so God will disassociate the elements back into the plasma energy (E/c2) from whence they were created...

No matter how you present it, saying God created the earth 6,000 years ago but made it to appear billions of years old along with other the other things that show the earth to be much older than 6,000 years is making God a Deceiver. I want no part of such a God.

Nope, the Earth came into existence some 8 billion years after the big bang with the formation of our solar system.
