Has anyone else read these books by Jean M. Auel? They are the best series of books I have ever read and I would love to discuss them with others who liked them.

Has anyone else read these books by Jean M. Auel? They are the best series of books I have ever read and I would love to discuss them with others who liked them.

Yes, I love these books as well! I first read them when I was 14 or 15 and have reread them several times since then. It's hard to name my favorite but I guess I would have to say it's the Mammoth Hunters. I kind of wanted Ayla to stay with Ranec.
I still haven't finished the 5th book, I was pretty dissappointed in that one. Maybe now it's time to give it a try again.

I agree, I liked the Mammoth Hunters as well. I'm not sure if I wanted Ayla to stay with Ranec but it might have been because the whole book I was annoyed at both of them for not talking
I think my absolute favorite, though, was the Plains of Passage. I loved all the people they met. I'm just waiting for the sixth one to come out because I want to know what happens! I'm also excited because there are supposed to be more than six!

Do you know when the 6th one will be coming out? I will have to reread them again, it's been a while. Unfortunately I will have to rebuy The Mammoth Hunters and The Plains of Plains of Passage because I loaned them to a friend and never got them back. 
They had the much cooler older covers!
Anyway, Jondalar kind of has a tendency to annoy me, esp. in TMH. I still like him though. I was so sad when Thonolan died.
Do you think that in one of the future books Ayla will see her son again?
