  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it - I saw it too in a theater in the Toronto area. At first I was the only person there, but by showtime there was maybe 30 people, which frankly was more audience than even most blockbusters that I’ve seen in the last couple of years.

I enjoyed it - overall I’d say that it seemed to be a little “grittier” than the previous seasons, settling into some of the personal sides of the characters. My favorite moment (not spoiling anything) was the great little scene of Gaius and Atticus reacting to the Sermon on the Mount - clearly Gaius was deeply affected and you just know his story is going to develop over time :grinning:

I only just first heard about it a couple weeks ago. Apparently it's on Season 3 already. Question: how is this diffrent from other Bible movie / TV adaptations? What does it bring new?
Download the app and see for yourself.....It is a great series...

I just heard about Season 3 today from who I guess is the creator of the series in a TV interview.
I'm a little confused though about it being in a theatre. If it's a TV series with episodes, why would it be in a theatre? Do they play all 8 episodes back to back in the theatre? That would seem pretty long.
Anyway, I just found out that Seasons 1 and 2 are on Pluto and Peacock. Both contais 8 episodes. Something new for me to watch, even though it aired back in 2019. Not bad, considering that I just finished all 4 seasons of Battlestar Galactica just a few weeks ago, even though it ended back in 2009.

It's the first two episodes of the third season. This doesn't happen often but it's not the first time a TV show has been in theater. They had the eleventh season premier episode of Doctor Who, "The Woman Who Fell To Earth", in theaters in 2018. I haven't seen The Chosen yet but I'm glad it's doing well.

"Elsewhere, a special-event screening of faith-based series The Chosen, chronicling the life of Jesus, is pulling off a major upset. Fathom Events, which is showing the first two episodes of season three in more than 2,000 theaters, is projecting a $10 million-plus weekend for a second-place finish after grossing $3.4 million on Friday."
