hEy guys!

I hope you guys are doing well! Hmm... I always wonder about this:

Is there that special someone that God has chose for each of us?

I didn't really go on a date/serious relationship, etc. with anyone in my life so far. It's kinda funny how God "helps" me to chose someone. The people I had fallen in love with due to the cupid's arrow, He has gently pushed them away from me.

Example: I was in my foreign language class and there was this new girl who came in. I wondered if we were for each other...then after I gave this presentation, she was laughing. So after class, i somehow talked to her during passing period. My heart felt glad after talking to her. At the end of the day, i was walking and she was walking with another guy.

So many girls I had crushes on... GOd let them fade away. I hope I didn't get off topic so far... Do you think that question is true?

I believe it... letting Jesus choose that special person for me... sounds crazy, but I'm 100% sure that it's the right person and the only person I will be in love without the relationship going sour.

I thought i had it. For three years we were together. But it still went sour. I have never known so much pain. We were perfect for one another. It was so obvious God's hand was on our relatoinship. Then she left me and now she says she doesn't even love me. I just don't know anymore. I just don't know.

I believe that there is that special someone as well. Ive been in too many relationships by my own will so now I am going to stay single until God puts that one person in my life. Its hard to do sometimes but im gonna give it to God because he knows whats better for me then anyone else.

amen. i pray for that one man God is designing for me. i pray that God will prepare him for me. that he will be able to handle my quirks, and have the strenghts where i am week and that he would be refined into a man of God. and it helps me personally to think that i am made to be the wife of some man out there. it gives me perspective on the situations of my life (in an odd way). sometimes when things are crummy, i think, hmm, maybe this situation is part of God's preparation. maybe i need this so i can sympathize with my husband about something. i know it seems silly, but it helps me realize God's purpose in everything.

This is a great thread, and I totally agree with you. I have always believed (although it can be hard sometimes) that God would bring the right person into my life when I'm ready to meet him, and when he's ready to meet me.

It's kinda funny actually, most of the people I talk to aren't christian so we don't have the same viewpoint on this issue. they keep jumping from relationship to relationship because they're afraid to be alone(one girl is with a guy who makes her absolutely miserable for several reasons but she refuses to break up with him until she finds someone else), and they can't understand how I can still be single and not too worried about it.

If you ask God to give you a mate that He believes is right for you, He will. That is just what happened to me.

One night I prayed for a soulmate and a short time later a girl called me and asked me out to a high school dance (Yes, SHE asked ME out!!!). We dated for nearly 5 years, yet instead of getting married we rebelled against God, lost our virginity to each other and moved in together. This was our downfall. We separated and for ten years we dated other people. These ten years turned out to be hell for both of us. Finally last year we realized that no matter how many people we pick to date, only God can give us those who are right for as. When we tried to take things into our own hands and defy God's way, we got burned. We learned many lessons and this Friday (12/12/03), we are finally getting married. We picked this day because it is our 15th year anniversary of our first date. It took a while, but it is well worth it, knowing that we are soulmates that God put together.

God loves us so much that He will let us make our own choice, even if it is a mistake, yet when we decide to put our trust in Him, He will reward us with nothing but the very best!!!
