  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Goodwin seemed very adament when he spoke with Ana Lucia that the children were fine. But it seemed from the seaso premier that the kids were not visibly in the "commune".
Also, Claire was kept as the medical station, which they vacated.

My questions:
Are the kids with the Other Others? and if they are does that mean they are actually part of the commune folk?

I'm just really confused about the fact that some of them seem to wander all over the island while Benry, Juliette, Zeke et al seem to be living in the burbs?

I think the kids are with the Other Others, the jungle-walkers. The Commune Others seem to have a handle on everything and everyone on the island, so I think they probably are able to keep tabs on the jungle walkers and the children -- hence Goodwin saying the kids were fine.

This is all speculation of course. But it makes sense in light of the things the Commune Others seem to know about everyone, including Danielle if it's true that Benry got caught in the net on purpose.

Well we didn't really see the commune after the plane crash. We have only limited exposure to the Others after the crash, that being at the Hydra Station.

Excellent point...and I'm not convinced (yet) that we're dealing with 2 groups of Others, due to the costume that was found with the ratty clothing. (Medical hatch)

I think it only makes sense for there to be one group of "Others", as I think the one that we're contending with right now would know of the other group, and put them through the same things that our Losties are going through.

Something to think about, though. (highlight below)
But then again, there was that boy who got led away in the first episode.....hm. Predicament!

I just don't know. My guess is that they want to keep the children, brainwash them, and make them the next group of others. *nod*

I read this on another website. Note: A lot of foilers have been released by legit sources, including producers and crew. Be aware that some of the spoilers below may not happen.
They said even though people think Karl is an other, its not true. We will find out by Episode 6 why he was caged.

So here's what we know:

1. Juliet, one of the (assumedly) carefully chosen, is a fertility doctor. A less common field, and a conspicuous choice for something like this.

2. The Others have shown interest in both of the only two babies born on the island (to our knowledge) - Alex and Aaron.

3. They took children in the group kidnapped from the Tailies.

4. They took Walt, and went to extra lengths to take him.

5. They did some sort of tests on Walt. Details unkown.

6. Benry commented that they got "more than they bargained for" from Walt, assuming that he somehow helped them achieve a goal, or come closer to it.

7. The Others took Claire, but showed markedly more interest in Aaron than Claire. In fact, Ethan seemed to indicate that after Aaron was born, they would not care about her at all.

Did I miss anything?
