Movies: Only instructional ones that are lengthy and detailed per the books above. I'd get sick of 3 movies only after like a week.

A manually powered sowing machine for making clothing. Or for her to make me clothing.

Edit: Scratch the manual sewing machine. My tool book should cover making one of them. I'd bring Cannabis seeds. At least then I'd know I'd have a really durable fiber to make clothing!

1. Kindle with a solar power charger, my Bible and my collection of Jane Austen's works- its big enough to use as a weapon.

2. Can I change this to games? Movies would be useless as there is no way to watch them! I would bring Monopoly, Rook and Taboo.

3. Oh the pressure! The thing is, I wouldn't choose anyone I liked, I wouldn't want them to be deserted with me But then again, I wouldn't choose anyone I hated as I'm not sure I have the self control to not bean them over the head if given the chance.

Now, if I knew I was going to only be stuck for a few weeks or a month I would choose either Ethnog, Little_Tigress or Henrietta. Possibly Miss Spaulding but that would depend entirely on how well she can function without coffee. I don't need to be stuck on an island with a caffeine addict going through withdrawal

4. My X-factor item would be a vat of shampoo. I can't survive anything if my hair is gross, I would have to find someway to shave my head but doing that on an island would be... tricky.

-Well, on a deserted island with no electricity or DVD players or even TVs, movies would be pointless. So I would bring perhaps several seasons of a particularly long show. I'm certain you could use the discs as reflectors to search for help, to light fires, etc.

- Pick 1 CF person you take with you (No celebs sorry).
Umm, I'd definitely say Sharon. Not for any romantic reasons either. But to have my best friend on the island, I think we would really make the best of the situation, keep each other company and laughing the whole time and we both need private time to ourselves, so that will help when we could take different parts of the island Plus she's incredibly smart and knows her way around cooking veggies so that will come into play on the survival side.

Hmm, this is a good question. I want to say a lighter, but it would eventually go out. Fire would be essential to seek rescue, to cook foods, boil water, keep the pests and nasty animals away and warmth if it gets cold at night. Maybe some kind of flint that we can strike to create sparks to make fires easier.

again I have to pick stuff that makes me happy cause I have a feeling being stuck on an island would be kinda depressing. 1. pnp the BBC version (its long and will kill time easily), An office and a gentleman, Platoon (ill watch it when im down so I know "hey atleast these boys had it worse they were getting shot at).

This is an extremely tough question. On the one hand you can argue that taking a male would make sense cause that will mean he can take some of the physical strain off from me. On the other hand if you take a female and develop some sort of desert island romance that can help you survive psychologically. Lets be honest love puts us all in a good mood no matter where we are.

Books-The Bible, a really good Bible commentary to go with it, and a really good Encyclopedia. Long, non-fiction books that can be read repeatedly seem like the best picks

Movies-Since I'm stuck on a desert island, I'll want happy movies, not neccesarily my favorites, so I'll go with The Apartment and Toy Story. Also season 1 of Star Trek: The Original Series in a box set, so of course it just counts as one.

Person-I don't know anybody on here well enough to commit to being on a desert island forever with them. But my "X-factor item" would probably also be a person (because it's lame to say 'a boat' or something like that). I'd go with either my cousin, who is my best friend, or, if I could unlock the mysteries of the time-space continuum, who I would have ended up marrying had I not been marooned on the island.
