Ever wonder why a [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] crows?
1. To signal that dawn is breaking, or the beginning of a new day
2. To signify that Light has come..
3. To give a wake call, there’s work to be done…

Luke 22 :53… the hour of darkness

54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off. 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked on him, and said, This man was also with him.
57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not. 58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, You are also of them And Peter said, Man, I am not. 59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what you say. And immediately, while he yet spoke, the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] crew.

While he spoke, his Light had come, he realized his shortcomings... but nonetheless a whole new day for Peter...

The denial of His Lord started with Peter when He followed at a distance… The one who made the very claims that He would die with Him… dwindling in the distance …A warning to me and you not too follow in the distance but walk closer to our King.
He moved to sit amongst strangers, trying to get warmth from another kind of fire.. A warning to us, to not try and warm ourselves by the fire of this world, but to be seated around our Lord, who is a consuming fire.
But somehow people will know if you belong in there company or not, once you’ve been with Him… they’ll know you don’t quite fit in, and you will know that you don’t belong to this world, but you are just a sojourner, nothing else.
But sometimes we do deny Him, we deny Him reign in our lives, our thoughts, our actions

61 And the Lord turned, and looked on Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, Before the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] crow, you shall deny me thrice.62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

Can you imagine that look, Have you ever allowed Him to look at you with such intensity, a piercing gaze, through your very being… knowing that sometime you fail hopelessly and sometimes you deny Him reign in your thoughts and actions, knowing that while He was about to face His death.. He took the time to gaze at you… I don’t think it was a look of, I told you so…. Maybe one of its ok…I love you and I forgive you…

A wake call, there’s work to be done…

The reconciliation

John 21:16-18 He said to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Love you me? And he said to him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my sheep. …

…let us wake up, do the work He has called us to do…and Follow Him, by way of the Cross
For some its feeding, for some its praying.. whatever the work, Follow Him

Having spent much time in the forest, it has been noticed that birds typically make two different types of sounds corresponding to sundown and sunrise.

At sundown they chirp prayers + intercessions to God, that they be kept safe through the night.

When the sun begins to rise they sing out praise and thanksgiving for God having heard and answered their prayers - keeping them safe once again from that which lurks in the darkness.

Having also spent considerable time around poultry...

The rooster's crow, (most dominant around sunrise), is saying one of two things.

1. If he's a believing rooster, he says - "God's The Greatest !"

2. If he's an unbeliever, he says - "I'm the greatest !"

Once there were two believing roosters crowing in unison, saying - "God's The Greatest" , "And He's The Best".

Another way to tell an unbelieving rooster is he's mean as all get out, and won't hesitate to spur you when your back is turned.

But a believing rooster is a mild mannered rooster.

Wait...are we still talking birds here ?

Awesome thread, thanks. I'm glad God loved peter so much that he used him as an example for us all. I think of this teaching allot. It sure helps me when i let my lord down, it assures me that i belong to him no matter how weak i am. God's power is strongest in my weakness. Praise Jesus for saving this sinner and loving him even when he fails. God is good.

Hey is there something we should learn from these birds? Its so interesting that birds seem to know what is coming better than humans(Jeremiah 8:7).They are in tune with the will of God.
Remember Tsunami, birds had run away earlier. And as for the cockrel its consistent, every day!
