@work Federal gov. and Veteran Admin side of world
I was forced into a Chapal to listen to some HR LR person talk about diversity and other things. Much was in line with virtue that Jesus wants me to walk in. Several topics were against what he wants of me to learn. I was mad and I said to management separation of Church and State. Using this house of God to preach things we don't support is wrong. IF this was a Temple, Sinagogue or Mosque you would be appeasing. I was told no..ORDERED to sit through it in a Chapal. I lost my temper and the even the preacher said he agreed with me , but he said to pick and choose my battles. I will have to tolerate this. (I don't agree)
I defied this every second. Every remark was a counter to what Jesus expects of me. Telling me to tolerate sin... yeah what ever Big Gov.
Im 3 months in to really putting effort into Jesus Christ in my life. The thing I notice so soon is the difference in treatment WE get.
From a house of Budhism (mom is Thai) for many decades, we never experienced intolerance of it. Yet This faith im in, so much of it out there. No reason or logic for it either.
I don't need any pep talk here. I don't need advise. Just sharing my experience this morning.
