I'm really liking this new animated show. So much darker than Batman: The Animated Adventures (later renamed The Adventures of Batman and Robin).

What I like about The Batman is that it is more realistic. In the previous cartoon series, Batman worked with the police. Here, he is being hunted down by the police, because he's a vigilante; vigilatism is a crime, so that makes him a criminal. This show sends a message to children--they cannot take the law into their own hands, or else they're going to be branded as criminals.

I saw it and I did not enjoy it at all.

I did not like the style of animation. Although it's cool, it just didn't fit in with the idea of Batman (although... the joker was pretty creepy at first sight).

I also didn't like the way they made the characters personalities. One thing about Batman is that he's still haunted by the death of his parents. He's very introverted and serious. I think the cartoon made him too.... happy. It just didn't seem like that was the way Batman would think or work.

I doubt I'll watch it again.
