I work with a kid whos parents are advenists... although I really dont find anything wrong with the denomination, I dont know much about it.. I like meat though so that puts me out

That's a bit of a loaded question, considering your preface to the question. But I, alas, am not a Baptist (I'm Anabaptist) so cannot really answer your question.

They are people. Loving one another should be an ultimate goal for all. So because their SDA why treat them different? I don't know.... I wouldn't.

I wouldn't know if Baptists in general have a collective attitude towards Adventist.... I think it has more to do with the individual.

I grew up as an Adventist, but I now attend a Baptist church.

Koontzey, being vegetarian is only something that "some" Adventists do. My family did not do it.

My personal opinion is the denomination is rather legalistic as far as the Sabbath-keeping and dietary restrictions. Far too much emphasis is placed on the 'prophecy' and 'visions' of Ellen White and some of their teachings such as soul sleep and the non-existence of hell follow more closely with JWs and Mormans than fundamental Christianity.

I think Adventists are in a completely different category in terms of their beliefs.

The only thing they share with Mormons is that people view them as unorthodox christians.
