All I can say is devour it. Read the BIBLE fervently
asking the AUTHOR OF THE BIBLE
to grant you the understanding of it as
HE did all HIS disciples as it is written: "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,"
It doesn't follow to make the false claim that TRUTH is subject to interpretation, and then to ask where it is written.
The Word of God is plain and simple. If it isn't written, then whatever doctrine is taught beyond the written word, isn't true.
I know that man was created on the 6th day:
Gen 1:26 ¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his
own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them
Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold,
it was very good. And the evening and the morning were
the sixth day.
We don't know how long ago this "6th day" was.
Not even the endless genealogies can help us to know.
The Bible does not tell us how long ago the 6th day was - that is the truth in the scriptures.
All we have to debate about religious subjects is the Holy Bible, so if it isn't written, we shouldn't teach something that cannot be supported by scriptures in the Word of God.
This is how we are to understand the TRUE doctrines of the Word of God. They must be in the mouth of two or three witnesses in the scriptures:
"This
is the third
time I am coming to you.
In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."
- 2 corinthians 13:1
This is how we understand The Truth:
" Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?
them that are weaned from the milk,
and drawn from the breasts.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little"
- isaiah 28: 9,10
