Link to the contestants. If you caught the Early Show today, Phil profiled each of the teams. Currently no one to root against, but two for me to root for. The oldest couple competing (he nearly 70, she mid-60s) and the Classified} dad and daughter couple. I also like the two New York Jew guys. His partner (sorry, already forgot names) described his bud as 5'3" and kicking you know what and taking names. I liked that, but they'll need to win me over a little bit more.

I guess we'll see how they turn out when the premiere airs. There looks to be too many buff/model pairs. I like the Ian/Terri and Ken/Gerrard pairs better than the Colin/Christie's and Brandon/Nichole's. This is a race, not a beauty pagent.

I am very anxious for the new Amazing Race, I am addicted to this show!! I have looked over the new teams, but I usually can't decide on my favorite till after a few episodes at times it is the very first one and I just go on first impressions!

They got another one already?

Hmmm...I sorta liked having to wait a year; it made the show more special IMO. But then again, I shouldn't look a gifthorse in the mouth, as they say ;)

Not sure about the teams either (what the heck is with all the "models?" I most certainly hope none of them are going to be like those psuedo-"Christians" like in TAR 5...), so I guess we'll all have to wait and see them in action on Day One.

What do you mean "pseudo-'Christians'"? I thought Brendan and Nicole were very nice Christians who were not afraid to show people their true faith in Jesus.

Yeah the wrestlers are def. scary. I want the father/daughter team to win!
And I was rather embarassed about Nicole. I mean she was another Flo! (You who saw the first season will understand). But brandon was so nice to her.

Brandon and Nicole were a bit immature as Christians in TAR 5. I think the real display of Christianity came with Chip and Kim. In my book, they were awesome.

Anyway, like a poster above said, I'll have to wait and see what everyone's personality is before picking a favorite team. On paper, I want to like the wrestling couple and the best friends from Queens.

Brandon and Nicole kept saying that God will win them the race if it is "in His will." Towards the end, they even said a few times that it was in God's will that they shall win!

1) If God intented them not to win, wouldn't one think that God would have told them not to enter?
2) Assuming God's going to back them because they emphasize their Christianity is, to quote Arwen Undomiel, "immature" and, IMO rather blasphemous
3) How could truly honest Christian think that God is going to embroil Himself over a race? With millions; no, tens of millions (if not more!) of people in this world suffering either due to homelessness, poverty, hunger, oppression, intolerance, hatred, war, and all other evils, how dare they think that God's focus even in the slightest would be of them in terms of a race?! Very childish and very irresponsible of them.

I was so happy when the end came about so that they would (hopefully) learn a lesson in humility. God knows I pray that they learned it.

To answer question #1, maybe God told them to enter so that they could learn the humility that you indicated they needed to learn.

Anyhoo, back on the new race, I agree with what's up with the models? Can we get another group in this race besides actors/models?

Hey guys we had two threads about this, so at the wise suggestion of a poster I merged them into one. :)

Thanks. My poor thread was being left behind like Collin and Christie after they got Yielded. :D
